these are amazing
Richard Sherman vs Skip Bayless on First Take was fantastic.
I just saw it. I know he's not the most popular guy here but he goes at Skip guns blazing.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
but that's not what happened. It was moved from the Premium board OT.
I don't really think Grambling deserves its own thread, and it doesn't really make sense to discuss it in the March Madness thread any more, since they're done. So, this seems like the right place.
Someone at lostlettermen.com seems to have decided that their season was the 3rd-worst in history. In all fairness, this list was compiled before last night's game, but I'm not sure they really hurt their stock last night anyway. Directly ahead of them at #2 is the 1991-1992 Prairie View A&M team KemPon has mentioned as worst of all-time. However, the #1 team is one I hadn't seen mentioned yet. Baylor went 0-17 in 1944-1945, and despite the lack of overall games, it sounds like they might have a legit claim to the title. Even crazier is that they made the title game just 3 years later.
College Basketball: Ranking the Worst Seasons in History
eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
Which of you mouthbreathers decided to start the stupid-ass NBA nonsense tournament just as March Madness started?
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
Seriously, isn't this normally a summer, nothing on but baseball sort of thing?
Read my writings to nobody in general:
This is literally the first and last time I'll type this but...
...I'd like to get Hogie's take on this.
It's like 6 threads and there are threads from 2 days ago on the first page. How hard is it to skip over?
I was against multiple threads too, but it was 6 threads Monday and 4 threads next Monday. Not a big deal.
Someone at lostlettermen.com has an old NCAA record book that has some errors in it...
Schools that have never made the NCAA Tournament — the 2014 edition http://wp.me/plDgR-1WQ
Agreed. They couldn't have waited just a few weeks when CBB is over and it's just baseball until the NBA/NHL playoffs? Their threads are just going to get mixed up with the March Madness game threads.
The Citadel did not go winless in 1954-55. The game against Jacksonville NAS counted (as did other games, which were losses, that the site didn't count; The Citadel's actual record that year was 1-21). The notion that a game against the Parris Island base would count, but not the Jacksonville base, is ludicrous.
The NCAA record book was in error on the subject until 2004; thus, you still see references to this (and to a 37-game losing streak that didn't exist) from time to time.
I wouldn't be surprised if something similar isn't true for a couple of those other winless years the site references (Baylor's looks a little dubious to me).
Has anyone actually met Spike? Can we confirm he's not merely a computer that knows everything? Was Spike Watson on Jeopardy a few years ago?
I have no doubt that Spike would kick Watson's ass in anything sports-related.
Maybe being pissed off instead of acting on criticism is why he hasn't improved.

Pictures of William "Worldwide Wes" Wesley have been distributed to security guards. He isn't allowed in the building tonight
I am trying to find out the reason. Was told "no comment" when I asked the head security guard in the area.
lol yes. His demise, whether professionally or personally, would be a net gain for the planet.
also I am so happy to see the year's first locked baseball thread and the 2-3 per week incoming! Nat's fans, get on it and double my pleasure. Also please petition the white house for season meta threads
My co-worker thinks this is a crime against humanity.
During the basketball season, whenever there was any criticism of Turge, there was a barrage of defenders making some weird comparison to Tom Creen.
I just wanted to mention that 5 of my FB friends from Indiana posted at the conclusion of this season that they wanted TC fired. LOL
dumbasses that call THE HOME OPENER as OPENING DAY. sorry, but if you've already played games, it's not Opening Day jackasses.
