well that's not true bc both games i've gone to this year they were $2 at Sliders
I'd like 5-3 in our next 8.
Go away, KA!
I don't get out much but that equates to $4.50 for a 12oz. beer.......is that really all that bad for a sporting event in this day and age?
its not a sporting event, its a bar outside the gates
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
Frank and Nick Sobotka at the Bullpen
Ah, gotcha. Still, how does that compare to typical DC prices?
You can count on one hand how many times I've been out in DC in the past three years
Some updated projected numbers, from ESPN.
Davis - 49 HR, 53 2B, 151 RBI
Jones - 215 H, 53 2B, 28 SB
Machado - 225 H, 63 2B
Markakis - 197 H
Markakis is somewhat overlooked this year, but 197 hits would be the most for an Oriole since 214 by Tejada in 2006.
Not the same without Carlito.
Mostly singles. 744 OPS this year is about 70 points below his career average.
The experience at Nats stadium completely sucks. The Bullpen/Fairgrounds is where DC Hipsters like to think they're cool by drinking $6 PBR cans and shit. I mean you can have a good time there because of the beer but it's so fucking phony.
I've been to a couple of Nats games and had a good time. The metro ride from campus wasn't bad at all if you stopped somewhere in DC for some beers on the way.
Bullpen is a little weak compared to Pickles and such but it's still a good time. Also, the open deck at the top of the outfield at the Nats games is mad fun.
The game day experience at Camden is better, of course. But if you can't have fun at a Nats game then that's just on you.
Yeah this is inaccurate.
This. So much this.
Yup. It's beer and baseball. What's not to like?
Reading material to help you through your day.
Sometimes a pitcher can throw a certain pitch that looks like another pitch and it can be a bit misleading when youre watching him do it. That is the case with Kevin Gausman and his slider.
Less than a year out of college, Kevin Gausman makes his big league debut
Exactly.... but that type of mentality doesn't compute with the "glass is half empty" crowd that posts on these threads.
I think I'm going to go buy donuts on the way home and eat them during the game. Seems like a good idea.
Yeah. I went to the O's/Rays game last Friday. Did I have a good time drinking with my friends, or did I get on here and complain about the mediocre, ice-cold Polish sausage? The guy in the row in front who kept farting and stinking up the joint? The three different, seperate waves that were started by the fifth inning? (seriously o's fans - dont make fun of Nats for that again. THREE waves in the early innings)
No because I was drinking cold beer on a warm night and watching baseball with good buddies. If you can't have a time doing that you're a miserable SOB
Sort of. He played, I watched from the bench.
I like the food trucks. Got this awesome philly roast pork mac n cheese. I don't mind Nats games at all.
Wait, everyone didn't bring donuts to work? For shame.
Agreed. Guys who fart at baseball games are the worst. It really sucks they are only at Camden Yards. Guess it's just part of the experience!
last Nats game I went to was great. The guys in the row next to me were working on their tax extensions on their ipads, and the guys behind me were playing words-with-friends. but the atmosphere really picked up with the t-shirt toss.
