Yeah, it'll take Tillman and Britton going up to open up a slot (whether that means Britton goes up after a rehab or just doesn't get optioned).
Dylan Bundy struck out the side in his first inning. I'm not sure if this is true (it's doubtful because it would be the absolute minimum number of pitches possible), but MILB has him at 14 pitches and 14 strikes through 2 innings and 4 K's which would mean the other two outs would be 1st pitch outs.
6 K's through 3. I'm not believing the stattracker pitch totals.
If the stat tracker pitch totals are correct, then he pitched 3 innings, 0 hits, 6 K's on 21 pitches with it being 21 strikes and 0 balls.
Has he thrown ball one to anyone yet? "@joetiburzi: @keithlaw Are you SURE Bundy is too advanced for Delmarva?"
Mike Newman (Scouting the Sally) tweeted something about Bundy being done.
A lot of minor league scorekeepers don't keep track of all the pitches because they're not used to using gametracker.
Game is on the net (http://www.iheart.com/#/live/3143/?autoplay=true). PBP guy said that "6 of the 9 that faced Bundy were KO victims". Miguel Chalas now pitching in the bottom of the 4th.
I'm pretty sure Bundy is on a innings/pitch limit to try and have him pitch the entire season but I have to admit I'm now worried that he had to come out due to injury.
Mike Newman @ScoutingtheSAL
Bundy up to 98 MPH from what I saw. Flashes CH and CB
#Orioles Glynn Davis is the most exciting position player on the field tonight.
I didn't think the #Orioles dabbled much in the IFA market, but Lino is making a first impression like Hector Sanchez did in 2010.
Bundy's replacement for the #Orioles also touching mid-90's
More on #DylanBundy: 95-98 with the FB, CH 83-86, CB 77-78. Best swing on him was Rosell Herrera who laced LD foul on CH #orioles #Rockies

Hearing the reports on Dylan Bundy's debut isn't cheering me up. Meanwhile, Bubba Starling won't be in a box score anytime soon. #soclose
The plan all along was 3 innings tonight. No worries.

Here are 10 more players beginning the year someplace other than where many expected.
Manny Machado, SS, Baltimore Orioles
While Machado is unquestionably one of the top position prospects in the game, the Orioles surprised many by placing the 19-year-old at Double-A to begin the year. Limited to just 101 games last year due to a knee injury, Machado had a big first half, but when the Orioles promoted him to High-A Frederick once he returned to health, he hit just .245/.308/.384 in the Carolina League, so he's hardly solved that level of pitching and now will be challenged by the upper levels. The Orioles hope his talent will shine through, but expect some bumps in the road.
It is Opening Day in the minor leagues as well and Kevin Goldstein breaks down some of the noteworthy assignments for top prospects.
btw RealityGlitch was definitely rocking the Bergesen t-shirt jersey yesterday

The guy who is off to an incredible start is.....
I was listening to some of the Birds' doubleheader yesterday and Asheville could not keep that joker off the bases.
From his pre-draft notes he sounds like another Angle type, though.
Hopefully he just has some semblance of power. Angle has the ability to be a 4th OF somewhere but his lack of power will never let him be more than that for a good team.
Speaking of guys off to incredible starts, Tyler Townsend has hit a HR in each of his last 3 games. Of course the bat has never been the problem with him, it's always been staying on the field.
Townsend has a HR in each of his last 4 games. That's pretty impressive. Certainly has some power, but he also strikes out a lot.
Edit: Sorry three games. There was a double post in there earlier in the thread.
