Our second unit actually has some heart.
...and speaking of Jeff Green, he's looked pretty good.
tight game! actually pulling me away from the buffet of college football for the last couple minutes
Beal is a bust yay
No hes not.

Maybe when our point guard comes back our lottery pick can score a FUCKING POINT

Ariza, Okafor and Beal were all pretty bad tonight. At least Beal has the excuse that he's 19.
Long term, even before the draft, my fear is wondering what a 6-3 shooting guard will give us when he isn't knocking down jumpers. I just didn't want us to draft him for need (of a SG and a "lockeroom guy").
He'll get better I'm sure, but right now he doesn't look like a starting NBA player. Even Waiters is easily better.
Is he Jarvis Hayes?
Beal being 6'3 is such a dagger. They don't even try to list him any taller.
If he ever averages 20 a game like that turd Eric Gordon, we need to trade him immediately.
Yeah I found that out after I made my post here. He also said he gets feedback from other sources such as message boards and of course I would think he would read the replies to his own blogs. Mh post is still waiting moderator approval, guess they don't work weekends.
I think he's better than Hayes. He can shoot a little more consistently and he's at least a threat to do something off the drbble. Plus Hayes was a four year player out of college, IIRC. Hayes was bigger though and didn't have any qualms about sqeezing off shots, he'd just miss them.
People also bring up Cal Cheaney. From what I remember, Cal's prblems were that he was terible from 3 pt range, wasn't a great ballhandler and wouldn't finish at the rim. He had no problems between the lane and the arc though. Beal can shoot from distance, so he might have to go the Juan Dixon path of having his three point range open up his midrange pull up game.
No big deal...is just two games. I'm sure he wont always be getting pulled for Cartier Martin like he was today.
Calbert Chaney was a shooting guard who couldn't shoot, had no handle, no heart, and was pretty much a pussy. Other than that, great player.
The other day on ESPN (or maybe NBATV) after Beal's debut, they showed a graphic of the Wizards last 5 lottery picks and what they did during their debut
Thats a terrible list which doesn't even include the scrubs like Young, Dixon, Pecherov, McGee, the pick we traded for cash, etc.
Looking back, we definitely could have gotten Harden for the #3 pick and a couple other turds, right?
IIRC the rumor at the time was Harden for Charlotte's #2 pick. So we could have definitely got him if we traded #3 and Vesely for him.
Just checked again it was worse than I thought. The Thunder expressed a lot of interest in Beal at the time of the draft. We could have easily gotten Harden for Beal at that. Wall, Harden, Nene would have been a nice core to build around. Then use the cap space to get another starter to complement those guys.

I don't see Vesely being much of a sweetener in a trade. I would suspect most GM's realize he's not an NBA player.
Would have been Beal + Seraphin.

It is the business walk of the biggest, baddest bear in the national park happening upon an abandoned picnic.
Yeah, I was watching that. Philly fans are absolutely hilarious. They actually think Nick Young is a piece that will take them over the top.
