This. Need defense now
I think it's kind of unrespectful- Ovie
The Wizards need to learn to have Beal run ISO at the end of games. Wall has no outside shot so it doesn't work with him.
Harden is a true franchise player. OKC should have kept him.
Maybe Ariza didn't know Harden was left handed.
That was a GREAT win.
This game had a playoff feel to it for some reason. The crowd was outstanding tonight.
6-2 in the last 8 games. All against teams with winning records.
Now they need to learn how to beat teams they are suppose to beat. Starting with Toronto.

Wow. This is NOT roomy!
You can thank Jeremy Lin for the crowd and the feel. Lot of cheers for rockets buckets
Great win. 11-4 against winning teams since Wall has been back (though 2-5 against losing teams--what a weird team this is).
Just tell them they are 6-1 over the last 7. If they look at Toronto's overall record of 23-33, there is no shot of winning. Also, Beal really could be the real deal. Like him more and more every game.
Yeah that was a great atmosphere. NBA games can be so fun when you get one like that.
Dude stuffed a seven footer today. He has such a ridiculous all-around game for a 19 year old. Im much more optimistic about Wall than most on here, but I really would not be surprised if Beal is the better player long term. Shit, he might be the best player on the team right now.
Wall needs to understand that he is not the go to guy on this team. I can remember at least 4 specific very late game situations the past 3 games where he just pounded the ball and ran out the shot clock resulting in either losing the ball off his foot, putting up a desperation jumper, or throwing it away after aborting a bad jumper. Beal, Webster, Nene, hell even Okafor are better options.
I really hope Wall is willing to accept a non-alpha dog role.
Today the game winning play called for the ball to go somewhere else and he had no problem with that. One of the reasons I really like Wall is that he genuinely cares about winning.
Also, hope you're not counting yesterday's game-sealer as a "desperation jumper". He was WIDE open and actually on balance/went straight up for once (as opposed to fading away or side to side like he does for no reason on like 80% of his Js. Just effing focus and stay balanced! Theres zero reason he cant do that and his shot would almost certainly start falling at a better rate. The form is there. So frustrating)
Well yeah but there were some major errors he made in the same situation. In the game against Toronto he had back to back possessions under 2 minutes that he just ruined. On the first he went right and got caught in the air, tried to throw a cross court pass, and had it stolen. The next he was clearly frustrated, drove left and shot a bad (for him) jumper with at least 10 seconds on the clock. He cost them the game 100%.
In the Denver win in addition to that jumper he hit (which is a bad shot for him) he had a turnover and missed a 3, all under 100 seconds left in the game. He just has to understand that these situations are not his alone.
Otto Porter will be a top 3 pick.
We're so screwed.
I was thinking about this last night. I wouldn't be surprised in a couple of years Beal being the true franchise player.
I was thinking about this too. Hopefully the NBA GMs don't realize how good a player he has the potential to be. But yeah, he's top 3 in my book.
Beal is great, I would never trade him or Wall if he can stay healthy. Beal has taken some nasty falls and he must not put himself at risk. In my opinion he is co rookie of year.
I want all of team back next year.
there are very few free agents who will fit. Ellington would be good.
My top 2 draft picks now are Oladipo and Porter who were always in my top 10.
Other good fits, McLemore, I have not seen enough of Bennet, Noels had grown on me, if he was legit 6'10" , he was in top 5, Zeller, Cauley Stein.
later round pick I like Thomas from Ohio State.
Len could be a steal or a average player.
Stop liking 6'4" small forwards!
Oladipo is the last thing this team needs. He's a complete project offensively.
i loved beal from the jump. never wavered on him, he was my pick as soon as i saw him declare. hes going to be an all star. he reminds me a bit of eric gordon but hes got a much better body than gordon and has better defensive capabilities.
we need a young big badly.
