It's more likely we try to move up this year if someone we really like is on the board at the end of the first or early in the second imo.
Has anyone really ever given up a 1st round pick in the next year for the 51st overall pick?
Lol I can't imagine anyone would do that but as long as the raiders are around you never know
Chris Russell @Russellmania980
As just reported on @ESPNRadio980 the #Redskins will re-sod the middle of @FedEx Field for the 1st time in stadium history starting on 11/4.
Given the depth of this draft, we are better off moving back and acquiring another pick than moving up.
Really Russell? In the history of FedEx the middle of the field has never been re-sodded?
IIRC, on the Sports Fix he said it's the first time it's been done in-season.
So we're looking for the following:
*The Eagles to select Geno Smith or another POS QB available
*The Cowboys to pick Manti Te'o
*The Giants, well, it's hard to see them drafting other than corner and sticking it to us
*The least amount of CB/S selections possible
Robert Woods then Tyrann Mathieu. Make it happen.
If he doesn't go tonight, we're trading up 10 spots or so tomorrow to get Cyprien. That's my prediction/wish.
Not quite the 51st overall, but during the 1999 draft, the Falcons gave the Ravens their 2000 first rounder in exchange for the #42 overall in '99. It turned out to be the 5th pick in the 2000 draft.
Won't last past the first round.
This is all just setting the stage with young players at CB/S for 2014's Free Agency Pwnage.

There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
We're going to win the draft by not having a pick tonight.
I started to do an analysis of how good the RG3 trade was for both the Skins and the Rams, but I keep thinking about how the Rams could have just drafted black Jesus, traded Bradford for picks (if Carson Palmer can get two 1sts, what can Bradford get??), and gone to the playoffs already.
His contract was far too large. They weren't trading him.
Just for the record, I think if we go strong safety in the 2nd round, it will be Shawn Williams from Georgia. He fits organizational needs, as well as being team captain, which shanny loves (as do I).
If we do go CB, I like amerson from NC State.
I think it's kind of unrespectful- Ovie
Good options left in the secondary for day 2.
Lets fucking go!

Just destroying the draft. Nats are back, Caps going to the ECF...DC Sports TAKEOVER
God I hope not.
18 picks in front of us. Top targets still available:
Robert Woods (WR), Justin Hunter (WR), Keenan Allen (WR), John Cyprien (S), D.J. Swearinger (S), Shamarko Thomas (S), Phillip Thomas (S), Jamar Taylor (CB), Johnthan Banks (CB), Blidi Wreh-wilson (CB)
Guys likely to go before we pick: Te'o, Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Ryan Nassib, Menelik Watson, Eddie Lacy, Zach Ertz, and at least a few of the pass rushers. That should be about 10 or so. Probably some of the WRs, too. I think we'll have our pick of a solid DB.
I'd take him over any of those DBs left. put him in the slot and let him wreck havoc. Also another potential punt returner if Crawford losses it. Any personal issues will no longer be an issue after RG3 lays hands on him at training camp.
