Honestly If I had to pick between Reynolds and Davis I'd rather have Davis.
I have no problem bringing back Davis over one of those two. I guess my main point was that we don't need all 3 on this team given the current roster makeup.
I'd put my money on Reynolds being the better player the next year or two. Davis' lack of walks really scares me, a slip in his contact rate and he'll collapse.
That's true. Doesn't Reynolds walk more than anyone else on the team? If not it has to be close.
Yes. His 13.6% BB rate was the highest on the team among hitters with at least 50 at bats. Jim Thome was second (12.2%), Nick Johnson third (10.8%). Avery, Wieters, Pearce, McLouth, Markakis, Ford, Andino and Betemit are the only other Orioles to have a BB% over 8%.
Player A - 5.92 K/9, 1.95 BB/9, 0.81 HR/9, 40.5% GB
Player B - 5.77 K/9, 2.01 BB/9, 1.08 HR/9, 43.1% GB
Player C - 6.10 K/9, 1.62 BB/9, 0.81 HR/9, 40.5% GB
Player D - 7.91 K/9, 2.98 BB/9, 1.16 HR/9, 35.4% GB
Player E - 7.68 K/9, 2.21 BB/9, 0.92 HR/9, 46.4% GB
Player F - 7.97 K/9, 2.75 BB/9, 1.09 HR/9, 47.3% GB
Player G - 7.82 K/9, 1.60 BB/9, 1.37 HR/9, 44.6% GB
For us, give me C.
Lol, after finding out who C is, he is literally the guy I least want to sign. Major, major regression candidate.
You're suppose to rank all of them and wait for the reveal before figuring out who it is!

I'm terrible at this but IMO for this team...
Weird because Titan ranked C first. Titan why do you like C the best for this team?
EDIT: Wrote this out before I saw Titan's second post. I'm not going to look up who everyone is. I will definitely get this completely wrong.

Not Titan but I'm guessing it has to do with the HR%.
We can only sign one. I was sure I wanted C.
After cheating, how the f did Liriano get 300IP walking 5 per 9 the last two years?
G E F C D A B
This exercise is kind of pointless not knowing number of innings and age though.
Do you mean *if* we can only sign one? No reason we can't sign two of those guys.
How could you possibly rank A above C? More K's, less BB's, Same HRs.
It's the offseason, it gives us something to talk about. Plus it allows people to look at players without bias.
I already want to flip around my rankings lol. I am useless in these.
I don't want to anymore. I'm an idiot.
What if I told you G is one of the youngest of the group, can go over 200IP, and could be had for less than any of the others. That HR number is really, really bad.
Well, one season's numbers at least. We're more ranking how good a 2012 each guy had than how good a signing we think they'd be.
I looked them all up too - I don't want 'G' anymore. :)
Of the group above, how many would you take over this guy?
Player X - 8.56 K/9, 2.75 BB/9, 1.26 HR/9, 43.8% GB
i hate this. tell me who they are plz.
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
'G' is the second-oldest of the group, btw. 'C' is 34, and the others are all 28-31. E is the youngest at 28; A and F are 29.
No fun. I'm waiting on FTN, I'll reveal after he posts or at worst tomorrow morning unless there's too much of a riot.
