In the post-UGW era, I believe we're 6-3 with a +24 run differential. We're averaging almost 8 runs per game. Beat that, bitches.

Just poking my head in to mention that the Nats have the best record in the National League, and you are 15 games over .500. That's pretty damned incredible. Who would have thunk it? Carry on.
What a piece of shit you are.

Who would have thought the Pirates would be in 1st place and with the 2nd best record in the NL this late in the season?

Yeah. It's like pinch me. After the first two months with the worst offense in baseball, everything has just fallen in place and the Bucs are knocking the cover off of the ball. Oh, and the pitching has been incredible. We just aren't used to that in Pittsburgh. Go figure. Baseball is fun again.
A toast to the 1924 World Champion Washington Nationals (aka Senators)!! They had Natitude!
Nationals ‘Turn Back the Clock’ to Honor 1924 Washington Senators
WHAT: The Washington Nationals will pay tribute to the 1924 Washington Senators (also referred to as the Nationals at the time) when they host Turn Back the Clock Night presented by WB Mason during their game against the San Francisco Giants (then known as the New York Giants) on Thursday, July 5.
Both teams will wear 1924 replica jerseys, while the grounds crew will be dressed in full 1920’s attire and gameday staff will don newsie caps and skimmer hats. The Ceremonial First Pitch will feature an authentic game-used ball from Game 6 of the 1924 World Series and will be thrown from behind the Nationals dugout, similar to how it was traditionally performed.
In addition, the first 10,000 fans to enter Nationals Park through the Center Field Gate will receive a commemorative replica of the 1924 World Series scorecard and the first 15,000 fans to enter through that same entrance will receive a WB Mason replica truck.
The evening’s festivities will also feature:
Special offers on concessions – fans will be able to buy one hot dog, peanuts or popcorn at regular price and get another of the same item for five cents at select locations, while supplies last. Some restrictions apply.
Ben Mauger’s Roaring 20’s Jazz Orchestra will perform at the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The Racing Presidents, Screech and the rest of the entertainment staff will wear 1924 Senators jerseys
Nats HD graphics will reflect how the scoreboard would have appeared in 1924
Video tributes of the 1924 Senators will be highlighted throughout the game
Traditional organ music will be played between innings
Im willing to bet that what happened was he told Ejax he had to start throwing breaking balls. The HR he gave up to Sandoval was the 10th or so consecutive fastball he'd thrown. Once Ejax started mixing in his slider he settled down.
It is a strange world where approaching the All Star break the Pirates are 100% "buyers" and the Phils are looking to sell off the viable pieces.
Good for you Eli and the rest of the Bucs fans... you guys deserve this.
