Wilbon, the bitter Cubs fan, on PTI, "I have never seen a team with no pedigree at all get so much slurpage." Then he proceeded to blast Davey and the media.
Wilbon can suck a giant dong!
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
nats_ebooks started game 4 thread ...
so maybe he should do the honors of season thread. JPeterman seems to have disappeared.
Wilbon also said that Evan Turner should be the #1 pick over John Wall.....until Magic told him to STFU and straightened him out.
Part of Wilbon's schtick is trolling D.C. sports fans. He's nothing more than an NBA jock sniffer these days.
remember when he suggested that the Nationals shouldn't draft Strasburg #1 overall? That was even worse than his Taylor column.
It's hilarious to me when people get worked up over what TV sports personalities say. They're just entertainers trolling you.
Not sure what's more pathetic -- someone who can actually write reducing themselves to that level or people falling for it.
I don't even know why, but one time at a Maryland game I was sitting right behind the TV table and Wilbon came over to talk to the guys doing the broadcast before the game and I just started screaming to him that Donovan McNabb sucks.
IMHO, Spann had better bring it on O as well, because the guy he's replacing has only hit 9 HR's, 15 RBI's and .357 BA in 20 pre-season games, on pace for 72 HR's and 120 RBI's over a 160 game season. LOL.
Hope Spann pans out and we don't regret giving up THE offensive catalyst from the last few years. The Nats became a whole new level of dangerous last year when Mikey Big Fly came back into the lineup because it opened things up for the rest of the hitters. Seriously hope Spann doesn't hit like 250-ish all season and Nats wind up not putting up as much offense.
Now the real thing begins so we'll see, it'll be very interesting. But I do think that Harper's power numbers are going to pick up tremendously as he goes along and that'll take away a lot of the sting of the big bat being gone.
