The memorandum of understanding has been signed. The NHL lockout is officially over after 119 days. #dropthepuck
Schedules being released now
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
For this season only - trade deadline will be April 3 while free agency opens July 5
That trade deadline seems way late
Season will start Saturday @ 3 with PITT @ PHI, OTT @ WPG and CHI @ LA.
Kenny Holland will still find a way to sit on his hands, I'm afraid.
Detroit Hustles Harder
Assume Chi @ LA is the national game?
Nice.... good chance I make both.
very excited that the isles come to dc twice in two weeks in late march early april
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
Hockey is basically perfect for making great promo videos set to inspirational music and narration. Its impossible to not get hooked by them.
Looks like Scott Gomez is getting Wade Redden Treatment in MTL. Stay home, get paid, count against cap and compliance buyout in summer.
Pens ownership/front office just gets it. This is why they are #1 in fan relations. Things they are doing:
-50% off every piece of merchandise in the team store on the days of the first four regular season games. Fans may place orders by phone.
-Offering season ticket holders vouchers for four free concession items per ticket
-I have a five-game mini-plan. Prior to the season, the five-game packages were prepicked with certain desirable and undesirable games. With the revamped schedule, only one of the five games remained. I was able to get a refund for those games or I was able to pick any other four games I wanted. Thus, I went from Islanders, Lightning, Winnipeg, Buffalo, Phoenix to Home Opener (Toronto), Rangers, Boston, Capitals, Flyers. Awesome for me.
-Pens are offering a free "bells and whistles" scrimmage on Wednesday, where the fans will be treated to a scrimmage just like a real game+overtime+shootout.
-Upgraded promo items at the first 15 home games this season
-Large number of giveaways on the social media outlets this week, including signed jerseys, tickets, sticks, etc.
Caps are doing essentially the same thing, but 20% off at the store all season instead of the 50% for 4 games. Also for us its a food/drink credit of $25-75 depending on your seating level, instead of just 4 items. I hope it can be used on beer.
I know ours can't, so I'd be surprised if the Caps were as well.
The 50% is the main one I am pumped on. I'm going to get a sick framed panoramic picture I had an eye on for full price. Half-priced is a no brainer.

#NHL Game Center Live will cost $49.95 for season. #pens #TribHKY
Center Ice for TV will be $50 for subscribers of INDEMAND cable networks and $60 for directv subscribers as well per puck daddy
Almost 11k at FNC for buffalo's scrimmage tonight.

All of that stuff is great but what really makes them great is that they know how to put a team together that wins. and they are able to absorb huge injuries and still compete.
And then they have a full squad and only make it to six games in the first round instead of seven. **Sigh**
I was looking at signing up for center ice since it's 60 bucks...but since the caps player every couple nights, and either NHLN or NBCSN literally has a game every single night, there's actually no point. I will get at least one random hockey game per day without paying extra. This is awesome.
Heading up to HSBC on February 17th. Let's goooooooooo OT and JJ.
Fleury giving up like 8 goals a game will do that
Eh, Patrick Roy would have let up 8 a game last year with how bad our defense was towards the end of last season. How did we address that in the offseason? Traded Michalek. Signed no one. I expect that to go swimmingly this season.
There are a couple thousand people standing in line already waiting for the doors to open at 6 for the scrimmage tonight.
