Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
This is mostly just a list of high draft picks who haven't lived up to their potential. Blake Wheeler is 26; if he was going to "break out," he would've done so by now.
Every year wheeler is gonna break out. Accept it, he is not as good as advertised
im hearing pg plaza is the spot!
Agree, I see no chance Wheeler, Bailey or Gagner do anything outside of their ordinary performances. I feel like Ryan O'Reilly had his breakout last year, he was pretty awesome for the Avs.

"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
Pascal Dupuis starts the season on a 17-game points streak.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
This obviously is a thread for the card cores. Me? I don't pay attention until football ends so this work stoppage meant nothing. But I am a fan, just totally out of touch with the team since it's been so long.
With that said can some of you get me up to speed? What can we expect from Oates? Have we really found our Franchise Goalie? Are any of the young guns coming up from Hershey?
Oates: somewhere between Boudreau and hunter. Way more offense than we saw last year. Should be a huge positive for the PP but the lack of preseason may hurt that.
Goalie: by committee, again. Holtby is my preferred starter but he will have a short leash. I would expect both to play plenty.
Hershey: the cupboard is bare, dude. You might see cam schilling in DC, but other than him, there's no one really to be called up. Galiev is a year away at least, Kuz is staying in Russia til 2014, Wilson is in juniors and forsberg is staying in Sweden this season, as has been the plan since he was drafted.
I'm actually excited for Oates. I could be way off base here...usually am. But I need to believe in something.
Thanks for the rundown. I thought they had talent in Hershey that was about ready. I knew about Kuz but he will be here in a year or so, no?
Kuz signed a contract extension with his KHL team through this season and the next. He has said he intends on fulfilling that contract, but to the best of my knowledge has said nothing either way about his plans for the 2014-15 season. Jburd is pretty on the money with his rundown, Hershey is full of scrubs.
Most likely Hershey players to be called up not counting those two:
Cam Schilling D (24 years old, small prospect)
Tomas Kundratek D ( 23 years old, long-shot prospect)
Matthias Sjogren C (25 years old, the guy who quit on Hershey last year)
Ryan Potulny C (27 years old, not really a prospect, just a decent grinder/injury fill-in)
Wouldn't expect much out of any of them.
He could be here right now if he wanted to. I don't expect him until after the 2014 olympics
Also we need a Caps season thread so we don't clutter up the league thread
Kuz is a bitch.
It sucks but he probably made the right move from a financial standpoint. He got a fat contract and didn't have to worry at all about any of the lockout issues.
I disagree about Holtby being on a short leash though.
He has been pretty lights out all month in Hershey, and Nuevy is dinged up.
Though i guess alot of teams will go with more of a goalie split this year, given the condensed schedule.
#Habs Gomez drove into Quebec late Wednesday: "My only delay was at the border. (Customs agent) had season tickets and he was pissed..."

Who's jumping on the Oilers bandwagon with me this year?
not sure about bandwagon, but they are added to the list of late night center ice games for sure!
"schedules" being leaked on twitter. Don't know if official, but here is what I found for Chicago
Rumor- Sabres one of the idle teams on 1/19 (Edmonton the other). Open with Philly at 1230 on NBC.
