I don't know a lot about the Bears but on paper that's a damn good team. Forte/Bush and Marshall as weapons for Cutler plus a beast of a defense. They should've made the playoffs.
It's not ridiculous. Don't miss the playoffs after starting 7-1. He missed the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years.

Go away, KA!
Lot of conflicting info down here in Charlotte on Rivera. I think Chico deserves another year.
if I'm Carolina I keep Rivera. No one better will want to come there and there's a reason they had the #1 pick 2 short years ago. They're on the right track.
That and signing 3 rbs to like a combined $125 Mil...an exaggeration....i think
I think Cutler's maturity is a big problem for that team. Really desirable job though.
I would also keep Rivera, but I think Carolina is a desirable job because of Cam. There will be coaches out there who think they're the guy to get the best out of Cam, Rivers and Cutler.
I think Phillllip's comment about Norv "not getting a fair shake" should scare off many potential coaches.
The Iron Sheik @the_ironsheik
Lovie Smith no more love in the chicago he get humbled old country way still i love him but still the Tony Romo go fuck yourself
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
Yeah but in this day and age where media is more important than ever i just don't think Carolina has the clout as an organization to attract a high profile coach.
HAHA for some reason I read that as Carolina and not Jacksonville
No playoffs 5 of the last 6 years should get you fired by any team in any sport.
Ernie Grunfeld laughs at you
Jackie Robinson isn't dirty. This isn't Pack Pride.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
#Cardinals have fired coach Ken Whisenhunt, per a team source
Rich Eisen @richeisen
To my snark-prone followers, please remember almost each firing comes with other staff firings, most with affected families. Thanks.
Mini-rant time. Someone on ESPN had a similar type of message this morning, saying something like "fans need to remember, that there are a lot of families out there affected by what's going on today and you should temper your excitement." Excuse me? These aren't the families of a soldier, or of one of the kids at Newtown. These people knew the stakes when they took the job and they're fired because THEY DIDN'T PERFORM. Why should fans of the Cardinals feel sorry for anyone? You really think the family of Ken Whisenhunt or even the DB coach who used to be there is going to be suffering? You really think those people can't find another line of work either in the NFL or in college? 10% of the country is out of work - and most of them have probably never worked a job where they made six figures! So obnoxious. You took a job where you KNEW the risks and the rewards and you failed. Tough titty.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
Absolutely, and thankfully for most of these folks, they weren't making $12 an hour hoping to make ends meet...
Is this the least desirable opening in the NFL right now?
If they get a QB who can get the ball to Fitz, maybe not. Whoever the GM is that traded for Kolb should be gone, and that trade should be a reminder to all the folks who think a Cousins trade would be great for a team that needs a QB right now.
Not even close. They have an excellent D and one of the best skill position players in the league. Yes they need to draft and develop a line but even an average QB has that team in the WC hunt.
I keep seeing people mentioning Bill O'Brien as a possibility for the Eagles job. I can only imagine would sort of shitstorm there would be in PA if he left Penn State but not the state of Pennsylvania.
And not only that, most of these turds just resurface somewhere else. Either they already had three shots, or they will before they're done, and if not, they'll get a well-paying OC/DC job somewhere.
