Good article by Zach Lowe today on this very subject...
It is ok, I have sense of humor, I guess I took it wrong. However, I go ways back in NBA and I am historian to some extent and I know DC HS basketball very, very well. I saw the Wilt 100 point show again on NBA TV in Hershey, PA, great show.
As for this season, I do not think Lakers will turn it around so I blew my preseason prediction.
I ithink OKC is team to beat.
Kobe isn't going to last the season at this rate. The amount of work and energy he has to expend to carry this team on his back scoring wise when Dwight is out of the game is absurd. He's almost at Redick at Duke level work in the half court.

True. I've never been a huge Kobe fan but you gotta feel for the guy this season.
Damn, Rockets beat the Celtics tonight, and afterwards McHale was just bawling after KG came over to him. Bill Simmons choked up in the post game and that is less touching
Kobe may be a jerk but his work ethic is fucking insane. Other than MJ, I dont see anyone else that comes even close.
Gallo just threw it off the backboard to himself and dunked in traffic. The Nugs are a fun team to watch and a dark horse contender in a fairly wide open West.
Thing that always gets lost is MJ was a huge jerk too. Still is. His greatness just overshadows it because he won so much at the end of his (bulls) career.
I don't think it gets lost, everyone knows it.
i guess the knicks just don't match up with the rockets. mainly because they're old and slow
Meh. Carmelo Anthony didn't play yesterday so I wouldn't go that far. Yeah, the Rockets destroyed them last time with Anthony but I think that game was a bit of an outlier (56% from 3 and Chandler Parsons couldn't miss). Definitely raises an eyebrow though.
Nikola Pekovic is a monster. He's dominating OKC's big men on offense.
Timberwolves are going to be a good team. The foundation looks pretty solid for them.
Naah, some racist just threw the team together like that to make the Minnesota white bread fans happy..
Except Kevin Love wants out.
The Thunder played last night and are without Kevin Martin. The Timberwolves are having a good game.
Not if they win.
I know it's been said a lot, but Shaq ruins Inside the NBA. It's so obvious that Chuck and Kenny don't like him, and he just ruins the great chemistry that Chuck, Kenny and Ernie had. His analysis always comes back to him bragging about his own career, and like always, he's not funny at all.
Love-Pekovic has the potential to be the best frontcourt in the NBA by miles. They also have Rubio (assuming he comes back healthy), all they really need is a scoring wing and they're one of the better teams in the Western Conference.
I'd take them over anyone except Dwight/Gasol (when healthy). I was really hoping the Blazers didn't match on Batum. He would've been perfect for them.
How fun is this lineup if Roy can stay healthy (big if)?
Rubio, Roy, Shved, Love, Peko
You lose some size at the 3 but that lineup could work IMO.
Brandon Roy :(
He basically has the knees of a retired NFL running back. He was so awesome, but I doubt he'll make it another two years. Sucks to see a guy like that not get to play a full career.
NO!! I'm holding out hope!!
From the blog Ball Don't Lie: Minnesota Timberwolves guard Brandon Roy and Oregonian Portland Trail Blazers beat writer Jason Quick appear to have a pretty open and candid on-record relationship, something obviously forged to our great benefit during Roy's 2006-2011 career as a member of the … Continue reading →
