He won't be forgotten at all. He will be a 5 time champion on the most hyped team ever. No one of Bosh's caliber has missed the HOF while winning that many championships. Do you realize that he already has 8 all star game appearances? He will finish with at least 10. To put it into perspective, Reggie miller only has 5 all star appearances and he is in. No one with 10 all stars has missed it

Even though he's part of the "big 3", I think most view him more as a role player then a real star on this team. Reggie was the best player on those Pacers teams and had some insanely memorable moments, of which Bosh has basically zero. Reggie also fits under the "elite skill" category. Most of his all star appearances were almost by default. Look at the other big men in the east during some of those years.
The HOF voters don't care about competition. They will see 12 all stars, 5 titles, 5 20/10 seasons, high profile team. That will make him a lock. Worthy is in the HOF despite being the 3rd option on his team, so is Dennis rodman. Accomplishment wise, he will be comparable to Robert Parish.
Worthy fits two of the categories of marginal guys (all time great college player and a finals MVP) and Rodman was a specialist in two areas. Parish is one decent example, yes., although his longevity really worked in his favor since it ended up with him being top 10 all time in rebounds and blocks.

For the advanced stats folks: 38.8 PER and .483 WS/48! That's unbelievable.
Wade didn't help the heat much last year , but I like him. What's there to hate?

That NBA thread is one huge troll

LOL at Bosh winning more than 1 title

The constant complaining is absurd and he seemed to lead the gang for them in the flopping category too.
Its the stuff like this that has made Wade unbearable.
He's one of the dirtiest stars in the league and he complains about every call he doesn't get. Other than that, nothing.
What's funny is that I used to like Wade and hate Lebron. Now I respect Lebron (some on here will say I hate him, I just say that I respect his greatness now but that doesn't mean all of us were wrong about who he was before the title run last year) and can't stand Wade. I've never had any positive/negative feelings towards Bosh. I just view him the same way I view Al Jefferson, although he's a little bit better of a defender.
Wade was obviously great in his early years, but the league was clearly looking for a new lead star (Kobe's reputation was pretty much in shambles after the rape case and a post-Shaq drop in production) and he got an absurd amount of calls...really more then any player I can remember. I wonder if he's frustrated now that he isn't getting that same respect from the officials anymore.
I hadn't seen most of those, and I don't have a real opinion on Wade either way - but I don't have much problem with them. Other than the Kobe shot in the All-Star Game (and I can't blame him for that), none of those are unprovoked. They're all reactions to intentional fouls or uncalled fouls going the other way.
The first video is great - he had all the opportunity in the world to flop and passed it up. He gave the ref a chance to call the obvious foul, and then took his own revenge when the ref didn't use his whistle. Basketball would be better if more people did that instead of flopping.
Only a Duke fan would look at this way. Seriously, thanks for ruining basketball.
Really, so you think using the full force of your body to slam Darren Collison into the basket support is an appropriate response to being annoyed that the officials didn't call a foul on Dahntay Jones on the other end?
None of them are huge deals isolated, but he's a chippy player who throws himself into players trying to draw contact and then acts like a petulant child any time he doesn't get the call.
What happened to this?
Dwyane wade starts off his 06-07 year pretty bad then gets injured during the year. Then it goes to a flashback to what made Dwyane Wade the Flash. Stay tuned for part 2 of this mix
What a stupid comment. What do I personally have to do with whether Duke players flop or not? I hate flopping, and that's why I'm ok with Wade's response there. He's in no danger of seriously injuring someone and he took his flagrant 1 while sending a message.
As for the collision play, it was ugly, and probably deserved an ejection, but that's a lot safer than hammering him half as hard while he's in the air. Obviously flagrant, not a basketball play, but safer than most hard fouls on layups.
He's definitely a chippy player, and I'm not saying he should go unpunished for any of those plays, I'm just saying that most of them fall into the category of good, hard fouls with a purpose.
You acted like it was some achievement that he didn't flop for once. Way to go DWade!
Wade seems like a phonie to me, he is nowhere near the player he used to be, but was a great player in his time.
His body is breaking down.
I expect Heat to win, but I am on watch and see mode for Heat. Brooklyn, Knicks and Pacers could win some games versus Heat. Do not forget last year versus Celtics, one game away form chaos and elimination, Coach Pol getting fired, breaking up team. etc
That said I say zreo chance Bucks beat Heat.
Other possible beat downs include
Spurs over Laker, Spurs looking very good, key issue Parker and Ginobli, but they looked good.
OKC over Rockets
Clippers over Memphis, I had hope for Gizzlies, but they have major scoring issues.
Denver over Golden State with David Lee out which sucks, If GSW was healthy with Bogut and Lee they would be a serious threat.
I think Hawks and Celtics can win a few games, and maybe Bulls win 2.
nate robinson, still annoying
"Wade didn't help the heat much last year"....Are you being serious? For the playoffs he averaged 23 points, over 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while shooting 46% and playing good defense as usual. In the finals he averaged 23, 6, and 5.
As for this year, he shot 52% while averaging 21, 5, and 5. Not to mention he is always good for 2 steals and a block every game. He is easily still an elite player.
Wade and Paul make one hell of a bitch ass backcourt.
I've seen Paul flop 3 times in 2 minutes real time.
Wade's fouls in those clips are dirty and pathetic and have no place in the sport. Watch this LAC/MEM series - you got Griffin and Randolph just killing each other in the post. It's great. ZBo just antagonizes the hell out of Griffin with little hooks and never stops riding him. It's basketball and it's awesome to watch. Wade tackles people because he's frustrated they stole the ball from him. Awful.
This is a fun series but it seems like the Grizz starters have to outscore the Clips by 15 while they're on the court b/c of the huge differences off the bench. Clips come running with Bledsoe/Crawford/Barnes while the Grizz has random dudes like Jerryd Bayless and Quincy Pondextor.
hey remember that time the Hawks drafted Marvin Williams ahead of Chris Paul
