With Rose last year, I'd argue the Bulls would have been the favorite. Last I checked, the Bulls didn't have 3 other HOF on their cast. This season and last year's playoff prove that the Bulls are kinda average without him.
Yeah, and the Celtics have just looked brilliant this year without Rondo.
They had a better record without him than they did with him. If Rose is so great, how did he go under .500 this year?
In 2011, the Heat beat the Bulls in 5 after they figured out they could keep Rose in check if they put their best defender (LeBron) on him.
In 2012, the Celtics gave a better Heat team all they could handle, and Rondo gave them fits. He controlled the game on offense, played disruptive defense, and was the Celtics' best player. It took LeBron finding his beast mode cheat code in Game 6 to beat them.
Garnett/pierce got a year older and one hof player left
Allen was horrific last year during the playoffs.
2012 Bulls would have beaten the Miami team that the Celtics faced if not for Rose's torn ACL.

This is an incredibly dumb argument. The 2011 Celtics (THE SAME YEAR!) also lost to the Heat in 5 games. Rondo averaged 10, 7.6, 4 in that series. In the series ending Game 5, he went 6,3,2.
Rose, meanwhile, averaged 23, 6.8, 4 in his series. In his decisive game, he went 25, 8, 5.
Chris Bosh was out.
25 points on 29 shots! What a player!
You said this year. Allen is old too but he would still be a big help. Boston cant score
Yeah, Rose is pretty clearly superior to Rondo.
Not much room for debate if Rose returns to form.
Melo has never had a playoff game where he has scored 25 or fewer points and taken 29 or more shots. He isn't the most efficient player but that is a team drowning performance. The point was that you can't just blindly point at some final stat line and say "look, he played well!" when we all watched those games and know he wasn't very good.
That's the bigger question. They kept pushing his return back more and more. I am starting to worry about his future
Rondo is really good. Rose is better. (was )
Not playoffs, but looks like the Kings are staying in Sacramento.
Why is nobody watching Durant ? He's a good player, you know.
Durant dagger coming up
He's amazing...especially now that he is being forced to be "selfish" without Westbrook taking up shots.
They won't win the west this year, but Durant is going to go on a crazy scoring tear for as long as they are in the playoffs.
If you're broadcasting a game, tell it the way it really is, but keep your opinions to yourself...!
Refs have been pretty lol bad for both sides throughout this game.
what a horrible ending. Ibaka sucks
How the fuck did Ibaka miss that layup?
The big men for Thunder were beyond bad today. Ibaka and Perkins combined for 8 pts and 6 rebs.
