K I'm ready now
I'm going to play Tiger Woods right now. Jim Nantz plus Augusta FTW.
Shooting 63 at Augusta FTMFW.
Coolest masters tradition not talked about is the players skipping balls off the pond at 16 trying to get them on to the green. You can watch YouTube of it
Kaymer aced it last year and Vijay did it a few years ago.
DIFFERENT VIEW- Tuesday 4/7/09 at Augusta National Golf Course during Masters practice round on hole 16. A different viewpoint, shot from behind 16th tee. Vijay skips ball across water. Watch crowd stand up when it appears the skip balls going in. Golfer Ken Duke was lined up to skip the ball after Vijay, but had a great reaction to the Ace. Then he walked off without hitting a skip ball himself, refusing to follow that show! Camera gets jostled when crowd starts cheering. Vijay gets high-five from caddy. Crowd went wild.
Kaymer's ace pissed me off more than pretty much anything in the last 15 years. He gets a hole-in-one skipping a ball of a damn pond, and I can't make one trying to hit normal shots.
Tee times are out. Tiger 10:45 Thursday morning and Phil and Rory back to back in the afternoon at 1:30 and 1:41.
4 of my 6 in the Grand Slam challenge are in the last three groups and Tiger is my earliest to tee off on Thursday. I knew Tiger would go off in the AM on Thursday for TV purposes on Friday but I was hoping this would be on the one time he would play in the afternoon on Thursday since I won't be able to catch much Friday coverage.
They really backloaded those last three pairings on Thursday. Phil, Louie, Keegan, Rory, Kuch, Duffner and Haas. I'm planning to watch as much on my phone live as possible.
I know there's some logic to the tee times for TV, but you'd think they'd want Tiger playing in the morning on Friday, given first in at a score is the last out on Saturday. In the rare event he's not playing great, they may get at least a few holes of live coverage out of him.
I have an irrational love for the "live from" shows on the golf channel. I'm watching live from the masters dvred instead of the nats game.
Thanks for the reminder, Caps are in between periods. Always wonder how they decide who goes on site and who stays in Orlando for this one.
Edit: The Masters in HD is quite probably the greatest single TV sports even of the year.
Double Edit: The 14 year old actually looks like he's 8.

Par 3 live at 3 today.
He made a hole in one today...
Much more SVP and much less Tom Rinaldi please.
Interesting featured group coverage for tomorrow. I think Tiger and Phil are on Friday's coverage.
Thursday's first featured group includes Peter Hanson, Charl Schwartzel, and Webb Simpson, while the second features K.J. Choi, Zach Johnson, and Graeme McDowell.
i can't stand Zach Johnson. He and Sergio would be the ultimate worst pairing.
Just saw Crenshaw ace one and then gave a kiss to his smokin' hot much younger wife walking toward the green.
Not sure who dictates the feature groups but is that the old codgers of Augusta trying to exert their control again? I can't believe Tiger isn't in the feature group tomorrow. I can understand not having Phil tomorrow or Tiger Friday since their afternoon tee times will allow them to be shown during ESPN's coverage.
Leggooo. Tstorms may disrupt the afternoon today
i think i might leave work early today to do the golf watching and beer drinking
Larry Mize your early leader with a birdie on #1.
On Morning Drive this morning, they were saying there's an outside chance the tstorms today could carry over to tomorrow morning, which may give the late/early pairings a chance at a softer golf course. Have to wait and see.
Weekend weather looks spectacular.

Difference between a major and regular tour event: first thing I did when I woke up this morning was grab my phone and check the weather for Augusta Ga.
