in 6 hours it could be a different story
But I've never wanted a prospect to flop as badly as I do Harper

I just embarrassed myself with this post
Acceptance is the first step. It should only get easier from here on out for you.
Strasburg looks like straight up white trash, but I have nothing against the kid and, when healthy, he's amazing.
Harper should die in a fire
Ugh. Goodman is ruining baseball threads now too with lack of knowledge.
Hey-Hey makes them all his bitch. Bow down.....
He's old news. plus he sucked last year
Btown is notorious for being as good a judge of talent as character.
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
I'm like BASF, I make things better
He looks like one of the Columbine shooters in that center pic.
I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.
He seemed alright to me...

Machado has first ballot swag already. I got him to sign a ball for me after their game in Clearwater and while he was signing it he was trying to get my girlfriend to come back with him to Sarasota. Harper seems more like a roofie and bathroom stall kind of guy.
I find it hard to dislike strasburg but then again, I don't hate the Nats. Harper, otoh....
Machado would go yard here.
bailed out by the Ump

Pic Sigs are for losers.
Last time I checked, Harper and Machado have played in the same number of Major League wins by the their teams: 0. You can't really blame Machado considering he hasn't played a game yet, but obviously Harper's me-first attitude is a noxious cancer that caused the Nats to go from a .700 team to a .000 team. He has single-handidly killed Natitude with his rampant Brycissism

I predict a million pages for this thread by September.
Bryce Harper needs to consult Rick Ankiel about Natitude. Insane hype and underwhelming production = Metitude.
insane hype and underwhelming production huh?
you must be talking about jason heyward and tommy "6 innings max" hanson
Only 4 Mets ever had hype and 2 of them succeeded (Reyes and Wright succeeded and Doc/Frenchy disappointed). That is a solid ratio. Now if you count Seaver and Ryan, the Mets have a great track record of actually producing on hype.
Machado is going to be a great player in his own right, but people are doing him a huge disservice by comparing him to A Rod. When A-Rod was Machado's age, he had a 40/40 .358 batting average MVP season. If you keep comparing him to A-Rod it will only add too much pressure to a kid who fans already have huge expectations for. Look at Wieters, he was going to be the MVP of baseball from day 1 according to Baseball Prospectus but that hype and pressure set back his development and never fully recovered until this years brilliant season. If he was allowed to grow at his own pace and was kept in the minors longer, he could have been great earlier. It's possible the same fate will occur with Harper.
Yea, Wieters was sure a terrible player before this year. He had so much left to show in the minors too!
