Unless, of course, he goes into a steep decline. Then it is that bad.
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
He's really a platoon player at this point.
We'll see. Extremely low BABIP against righties last year.
It's been pretty low for 3 years now.
exactly. he was flat out embarrassing from the left side last year....less than a .300 OBP if I recall from that side too. that is too much $$ for him at this point.
.292 in 2011 isn't low. Fangraphs hasn't valued him at less than 13 million dollars since his first season in 06.
SF gives Scutaro 3/20.
SF has now invested $78M into Scutaro, Pagan, Affeldt.
Boston has invested $78M into Napoli and Victorino.
Not a fan of 3/39 for Victorino, strongly agree with the negative opinion.
Players I'm driving the bandwagon for: Kevin Gregg
I don't understand how it's probable that Shane Victorino is going to make more annually than Nick Swisher.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Can somebody post the GIF of Swisher flailing around RF in Game One of the ALCS? That was awesome.
Detroit Hustles Harder
Blanton to LAA ; 2 years, 15 million. no comment.
it's not really that awful
then again the mets are unwilling to go much more than 2/20 on a extension for the current cy young award winner [rolleyes]
Geoff Baker @gbakermariners
Mariners said to be "very close" to landing Josh Hamilton. Depends on what happens with Zack Greinke over next few days
Phillies apparently trying to work a trade for Michael Young.
Word is, #phillies getting closer to agreement to get michael young. Belief is tex would need to pay $10M of his $16M
I knew he fell off a cliff, but they are paying 16MM for 277/312/370. -1.4 fWAR. That has to be the worst value/dollar in baseball. Michael Young + 10MM shouldn't even cost nothing.
Gary Sheffield, Jason Grilli's agent, said he'd announce where grilli is signing at 10. It's now 11 and nothing has been announced. This is why you don't hire Gary Sheffield
And he just dropped it (E3). RT @JSalisburyCSN: Source: it is in Michael Young's hands whether he wants to be a Phillie.
ben revere to philly for vance worley and a pitching prospect
minnesota making nl east teams better, fuck them
worley and may
hmmm, i forget what may's rep is. that may not be that good a deal for the phillies
yeah i'm not that high on worley, but honestly considering what nats gave up for span, i think the twins won this deal.
think the phils gave up too much for revere. he has no power what to speak of, the ops is pathetic. i know he's young, but wow. would rather have span.
May was one of their top pitching prospects but this past year he really struggled at times at AA walk issues and gave up a lot of HRs. Im a little surprised they gave up on him this soon, I dont see why Worley for Revere straight up wouldnt have worked.
Youk offered 1/10 to join the Yanks.
1/12, actually. Cleveland is offering 2 years.
