Please, please, please be true. Didn't the Sawx have him before the Mets?
Sources: Pagan close to re-signing with #SFGiants.
4/40 for Pagan.
less than i thought he'd get
guess he really likes sf. hard to blame him
Soria to Texas- 2 year deal.
2/8 for Soria.
GM Doug Melvin has said that the Brewers will not offer a pitcher more than a two year deal. That will make winning in 2013 very difficult.
the mets need to just lock up dickey at this point. stop with this bullshit about exploring every possible trade and then asking teams to give you their top two close to mlb-ready prospects for a 38 yr old knuckleballer, cy young or not
i mean seriously. you know, dave cameron and coltstroll aren't trolling. this team can compete next year. dickey/niese/harvey/santana/gee isn't a bad rotation. maybe ike davis won't suck for a full half-season, and hit 40 bombs and ops near .900 with gold glove d at 1st. wright will be wright. murph will continue easing himself into second and actually show some power next year. tejada will be luis castillo at ss before he turned into a POS. duda and thole won't be garbage again, because they'll be a year older. nate fucking schierholtz/reed johnson platoon in right is 2012 oakland a's style shit. i dunno, find the money to put victorino in center. at some point you have to fall into a good bullpen, why not 2013? if wheeler's ready, trade gee to cover whatever hole you still have. 2013 mets = 2010 giants = 2008 rays (only they win the WS)
look at this rotation:
harvey = prime pedro
wheeler = high-powered derek lowe
dickey = wakefield on roids
johan = arroyo
niese = homeless man's lefthanded non-douchebag schilling
gee = some other guy who's not bad as a back end guy with no 2004 red sox comp
giants season is over, knicks can't keep this shit up, terps will be good but how good? let's fucking go!

You would think the ESPN guys could at least keep their stories straight.
The Yankees are not on Yunel Escobar...
On other hand, #Marlins clearly would like to move Yunel Escobar. I count 4 teams definitely in on him: #Rays, #A's, #Yankees & #Cubs
“Looking back on it, that was a pretty stupid move on my part,” said Appel. “Scott (Boras) kept telling me I had to hold out for more, and now here I am up to my ass in books trying to stay eligible so that I can – once again – play for free. This sucks.”
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
I sitll don't know what Boras' end game is with Appel. He's lost a lot of leverage now so if he falls down the draft again he'll be in the same position as before.
Seattle gets the power hitter they coveted.
Former Mets outfielder Jason Bay is "pretty close" to agreeing to a contract with the Seattle Mariners, 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
I know he had a good couple months, but people know this guy is 37 years old, right?
Bidding on Marco Scutaro said to have reached something in the range of 3 years, $24 million; SF viewed as frontrunner by source involved.
and had terrible numbers in colorado
That could turn out to be just a dreadful contract.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Phillies and Diamondbacks are discussing Justin Upton for Cliff Lee. Money coming to AZ would also be involved.
Source insists Diamondbacks aren't actively talking Cliff Lee for Justin Upton. Lots of interest in D-backs' young pitching.
Ken Davidoff of the New York Post says the Mets are contemplating signing Mark Reynolds to play the outfield.
However, Davidoff says his $7 million price tag may be too high.
How are the Mets having money troubles? I thought Wilpon made out like a bandit on the Madoff deal. This is a big market team acting like they are the Astros.
i have so many different ideas in my head of how mark reynolds trying to throw someone out at home from the outfield would look like
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
victorino to boston for 3/39
Pagan 4/40 >>>> Victorino 3/39
wow. Sox make a great 3/39 move for Napoli and a horrible 3/39 one for Vic. jesus.
I love this though - Rube needs to continue to be patient....
I don't think the Victorino deal is that bad. He's pretty valuable in the field but needs to do a little better job at getting on base than he did in 2012.
