I'm now irrationally excited about what the Pirates could get for Hanrahan.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
Hanson's shoulder is done. Still don't like it though.
hanson is not a #2 starter. he's damaged goods too, and the braves have plenty of rotation depth, no matter how much i've joked about 286 saying they have a million aces. i don't even think walden is good right now, but somehow i believe he'll figure it out in atlanta
No doubt in my mind that Kimbrel blows his arm out in spring and Walden ends up saving 45 games and being filthy.
Going to be so awesome when Rube wastes all his $ and signs Hamilton to a 700 million dollar deal. So depressed right now.....

Lol what Braves?
Players I'm driving the bandwagon for: Kevin Gregg
Hanson is a soft tossers now. He has no velocity. He's got no value. His upside is back end starter.
Oh I agree with trading him. Not for a 7th inning pitcher though. Even one I like as a buy low.
He's worth nothing. In a year he's a non tender candidate. They have been trying to unload him.
Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal
Sources: #Cubs in agreement with Japanese closer Kyuji Fujikawa. Rival executives involved in bidding had expected him to go to #Angels.
We having a Winter Meetings thread or just keeping things here?
James Loney to TB for 1/2.
Padres closing in on Jason Marquis.
I'd just keep it here. Obviously big things get their own thread.
1/3 for Marquis.
John Kruk replacing Terry Francona on SNB.
RUMORS of Hanrahan + G.I. Jones for Jaso + Smoak + Noesi. This would not make me happy. It just doesn't fit.
Napoli to Sawx for 3/39.
Wow, that's terrible.
Silver lining maybe for you; Smoak road splits 235/308/434 plus I would always sell relievers a year early getting 76 saves from Hanrahan the last 2 season might be getting the best out of him headed into his age 32 season.
Reds considering Homer Bailey for Dexter Fowler.
I like Garrett Jones but he just had a career year, definitely the time to move him if we can get a good return because he has no where to go but down. It's the right time to move Hanrahan too, he's starting to get pricey and I agree with WIC that closers have a short shelf life for the most part. Just need to not get a bag of dicks in return.
Definitely. But Jaso would be the main return in that trade, and it doesn't make sense after just signing Martin. Smoak has nice upside, but I'd like to think we are closer to contention than taking a chance on Smoak -- who has failed everywhere he has been so far.
fuck, i just know the nats are getting shields now. combine that with the obvious skins win tonight and i will be murderous in the next few days

that should tell you all you need to know about smoak (someone the Mariners traded cliff lee for), assuming the RUMOURS are true.
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
WEEI's Rob Bradford reports that there has been "solid interest" in free agent outfielder Jason Bay.
