Maybe this will end this stupid elevated court....a few people at the game said it was obvious he was trying to come down without going off the court.
Didn't think he was that close, but that's an interesting point. I can't watch it again though.
your stance is asinine. You do know refs get graded right? They are influenced by a ton of factors (coaches, fans, player reputations, evening up foul counts) but they aren't sitting there making sure Team A wins just to piss you off. You might have a Donaghey situation or a WVU-Pitt 2007 situation but those are rare.
That doesn't mean I think NCAA bball officiating is good. It is clearly quite bad.
Lol, worst interview ever.
What does refs being graded have to do with the idea that teams get calls as opposed to your player idea? The Team A stuff is silly...I'm not saying refs consciously make sure Duke wins but if you think reffing has not been biased in Coach K's favor for over a decade, I think you're kidding yourself. You yourself say the reffing is bad, why would you so vehemently deny that certain teams get calls in their favor? It happens in all sports.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Mid major caliber

One good thing for Ware is that this game happened in Indy. Because of all the terrible injuries that used to happen to Indycar drivers in the 90s and early 00s, Indianapolis has a number of the leading foot and leg orthos. Terry Trammell has put a lot of mangled legs back together.
Each time I've been like WTF on Dook Offensive nd they've evened out on other end. Feels weird though so I'm prob shook
Hopefully they had a shit-ton of morphine or something for him as they took him out. Just knock him out for a couple hours. Thankfully I was eating dinner and didn't see it, or I'd probably still be puking.

Thanks for that insight. Seriously. Im feeling for those kids right now
there's not a chance I ever watch that injury. I've seen some gruesome leg injuries watching soccer, but for some reason a freak injury like that in basketball would make me never want to play again. It made me grimace just watching people jump after hearing about the injury.
someone created a kevinwaresleg twitter account already. the fuck is wrong with some people
I'm honestly curious how legs just snap like that when jumping.. it can't just be a bad landing can it? it's gotta be like calcium deficiency or something
cook is a moron
I hate Cook's reaction after each foul.
LOL nice try Cook. Indys not your city either.
Of fucking course we start calling fuls like this. Fuck you guy who just showed up fuck you
I think coach K is one of the best at working the refs. That is one of the important factors I just pointed out. I'm willing to substitute your "teams get calls" for "coaches who work refs get calls." Your posts seem to indicate that the name on the jersey matters. I believe it's the name on the back (battier, craft etc), the coach on the sideline, the booing in the stands (less so), and the foul discrepancy to that point in the game. I've seen research into this and it indicates refs make attempts to call an even number of fouls on each team. Obviously simply calling an even number of fouls is not an indicator of good officiating.
What do refs get from biased officiating? abuse from fans and a firing from league offices. They aren't biased they are just incompetent.
If Louisville had a couple shooters they'd be unstoppable.
so Duke is in the bonus by the under 12 timeout right?
I just don't know how you ever come back from an injury like that. I remember seeing the Joe T injury live and that was horrible. This was worse. Even if you are able to recover physically, I just can't imagine how you could come back and play competitively without that being in the back of your mind every single time you leave the floor on a play.
Feel so bad for him. His entire career is hanging in the balance right now.
Wanted the Cards to win anyway, but I definitely hope they win for Ware now.
"Academics is important, because without them....you aren't allowed to play!"
This is pussy basketball
Thats what the charge has created. Players try to flop more than play defense.
Saw it happen to a dude once. He jumped and his femur cracked when he landed. Ended up in a full leg cast.
Refs are awful in this game and I rarely say that
