Fine, even if he didn't quit, the point was that there were still tons of chemistry issues with those Cavs teams, so you can't just say he automatically wouldn't have had issues in LA, with an unmotivated Shaq and some of the other guys LA had.
Lebron has been better when he has had a center who could space the floor anyways.
He's never had a center like Shaq except for the time he had fat Shaq. If Shaq could work with Penny, Kobe, and Wade, he can work with LeBron. There is little redundancy in there games. All the attention Shaq gets will really open up the supporting cast when LeBron does his playmaking. he could average like 25-9-8 with Shaq.
Lebron would have had fat Shaq in 2004. I think a Lebron-Shaq duo would have beat the Rockets in '95, since you are eliminating the Nick Anderson epic choke.
Detroit Hustles Harder
And Rodman and Salley would have ran a train on Lebron's mom, don't forget
Don't forget about the 1988 Pistons who would have won a title if the refs didn't screw them with the Laimbeer on Kareem foul.
I was more referring to how Lebron would work with Shaq rather then the opposite. Obviously he'd still be great but I don't think you can just put together stats and assume they add up the same. Very young Shaq would probably fit better with Lebron then 30 year old Shaq.
LOL this guy.
"Lebron would never quit"
You acting like Lebron cuts you a deal on your wholesale Maxi Pads.
What about the time "fierce competitor Kobe" quit in game 7 of the suns series?
"Anyone who talks about Jordan Williams leaving knows nothing about basketball. Absolutely nothing" - Hogie 02/27/2011
And game 7 of the Celtics series when they were down a billion.
What Kobe did is irrelevant to the point he made.He was refuting coltsfan's remark about Lebron, not saying anything about Kobe.
Was it Kobe playing awful, or was it going up against the best defensive team in that postseason?

Man, I can't believe you guys are going to bring up finals performances in a Lebron vs. Kobe thread.
It's to the point where I can't even really discuss the topic of Lebron James with you. You seem pretty sensible on all other topics but you constantly let your personal bias against him shine through. We get you don't like the guy.
I don't hate him,I see him and his career for what it has been. He was dominant and incredible last year. During his first 2 finals, he played like shit. I fully expect him to dominate in the playoffs and finals this year.
Isn't that the biggest "knock" on Lebron ?
So no credit to the team with the two highest defensive rated players, and with 4 of the top 5 in DWS? Cool.
It's amazing how much better the Lakers are defensively without Kobe in there.
108.1 points allowed per 100 possessions when Kobe is on the court
103.8 points allowed per 100 possessions when Kobe is off the court
That's a huge difference. Kobe's D is bad this year.
