Please remember tomorrow - before the Freeh Report, before the Sandusky Trial, before the Statue came down, before all of that...
McQueary reported to Joe that a kid was being abused. Joe said in response, "let's not ruin anyone's weekend".
How are any of us ok with that?
Joe didn't want to ruin anyone's weekend. Instead, a number of kids had their lives ruined, as Joe and the idiots that worked around him shuffled their feet.
Joe didn't ruin someone's weekend, instead he ruined a number of lives, and he ruined PSU football once the disgusting enormity of this eventually surfaced - 10 years later. He ruined the 2012 season and who knows how many more after that.
Joe Paterno ruined a heck of a lot more than someone's weekend because of his cowardly inaction.
Welcome to the New Era.
Keith Mills is on 98 Rock right now saying that it's not fair for the NCAA to punish the current team and coaches. He's usually smarter about things like this.
Edit: He later clarified that it's not fair to the players who are punished by the NCAA when the coach does something wrong (like calipari), sanctions come down and the coach is allowed to leave without penalty while the players are stuck at the school without being able to transfer.

It's also not fair that a bunch of kids got raped.
But eh, tough life, beat Nebraska.
Holy shit some of the responses to Wickerman....I'm amazed that this is still being deemed as media-driven. Fuck these people.
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
SIAP earlier in this long thread
I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.
$60 million dollar fine...Banned from postseason play for 4 years...scholarships reduced to 15 for 4 years. all current players can transfer w/o penalty...Vacates all wins from 98 (screw you Joepa)...probation for 5 years for all sports...
Was thinking it would be worse.
ok, so I had this thread opened overnight and just refreshed it, didn't realize there was a new sanctions thread. My bad.
What did this man know and when did he know it?
"it was our 9/11"
If Mitch does decide to go you could be looking at 10 wins or less next year - MdBbReporter
The ESPN OTL special is surprisingly good... oh wait because its Bob Ley, Schapp and Rinaldi.
It is the business walk of the biggest, baddest bear in the national park happening upon an abandoned picnic.
Bob Ley is about 85% of ESPN's credibility/respectability.
Can we just use this thread and ban TerpPride from it?
Schapp is strong.
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
I can't stand how he says his name, him and Bram Weinstein can go f themselves.
Probably, but I'll always believe his success is due to nepotism.
Eh, it's the easy way out and far be it from me to defend anyone at ESPN, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He seems to have learned well from his father. Can't blame him for that.
Victim 2 found

I've been getting the, "Of course the alleged 'Victim 2' waited until after the trial, because he didn't want to perjure himself by giving false testimony."
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
