Stringer Bell chairs a meeting of the New Day Co-Op with Prop Joe and Fat-Face Rick in attendance. (Season 3, Episode 5 "Straight and True")
There is a State prison a few miles east of State College on the way to Bellefonte. If they send Sandusky there he will still be able to at least hear the Saturday games.
Come on out and get your whoopin!
Supporters of Jopa and Penn State won some (public support) real estate back after his death and the backlash at the school's BOT for his treatment, but as predicted, it would get uglier once the trials started.
Victim 10 today on what happened when he resisted being raped by Sandusky: "He told me if I ever told anyone I'd never see my family again."
Dude was a fucking monster. Just wow.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
at what point did JS and his attorney decide that they had a shot against potentially 8 victims and one eyewitness who was deemed to be credible in front of a GJ?
All around the world, monsters that are merely evil are offended that you compared this sh*tstain to them.
I have wondered throughout why not even one person went to their parents. Know I know why.
And to TerpPride's point, at what point does the prosecution decide they've presented enough evidence, spare a couple of other kids the stand, and sit back and wait for the defense and Sandusky on the stand.
How are there so many inconsistencies in testimony? Shouldn't each witness be more informed going into trial?
I think it's something that is so shameful and embarrassing, you don't want anyone else to know about it. Or you're worried that if you tell someone, they will think you are a liar. I think it was the victim yesterday who asked his mom what the sex offender website was because he wanted to see if Jerry was on it. He did that to send her a clue because he couldn't bring himself to actually tell her.
As long as every victim who wants to look him in the eye and tell the world what terrible things he's capable of, I don't care if they spare the few who don't have that desire.
The guy's a monster and if you told me he didn't take the plea because he wanted to hear all these stories from the victim's mouths one last time, I'd believe you in an instant.
What are the inconsistencies?
plus it's hard enough to get full disclosure when you have a great relationship with your kid, many of these kids didn't have that family support system. throw in the fact that many it not most didn't know of other victims and that JS is beloved in the community and it's certainly hard to take that risk and all the shame that goes with it. Strength in numbers is completely a part of coming out with the truth. Plus other kids can be brutal...easier to tell the truth when you're older.
I've heard of child molesters cutting off the head of a live turtle and telling kids if they tell anyone, they were going to do that to their family.
It's almost as though he picked on kids who weren't as able to defend themselves.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
That's what makes this so troubling. Second mile was a sham, everyone knew it was, and the entire program looked the other way.
I hate PSU and everyone involved with that disgusting institution, but this statement is a bit of a stretch.
The real question is, will this affect their football program at all? My guess is no. Fuckin scum bags... PSU should become the new poster child of LOIC.
The real sick part of this story is. Child sexual abuse for boys and girls happen more than people want to know.
Its a subject no one wants to touch.
I guess "everyone" is hyperbole but it seems, most people in positions to do something, did nothing.
This should be everyone's main concern
The only inconsistencies have been:
One victim did not testify to a counselor or someone about an incident that he told in the trial. The defense tried to use this against him.
Another victim got the years wrong...saying it was 1998 or 1999 in his testimony but saying 2001 on the stand. again the defense tried to use this against him.
McQueary's Dad did not recall testifying at the Curley/Schultz hearing eventhough there was a transcript that said he did.
For me, I would like a precedent to be set that will hopefully deter these types of things in the future. The reason it was covered up was football. Losing that could potentially send to a message to others in the same position.
Calhoun, Pestrosky testified, described seeing Sandusky with a boy up against the wall, Sandusky “licking on his privates.”
