Need some BBVA Compass Bowl in my life.
Nice arm, Collin
I don't think Klein even threw that 45 yards
in his defense, i wouldn't expect calvin klein to have great arm strength
that would happen in a Ron Cherry game.
RON CHERRY MAGIC!
Seriously, it is like it was scripted for that to occur in a Ron Cherry officiated game. I love college football.
I've long been a supporter of the bowl system, but I have to say that I get less and less excited about it each year. Seeing games the terrible attendance at nearly every non-New Year's game and the terrible crowds at the Orange and Sugar is just depressing. I still love New Year's Day and would hate to lose the great games like the Rose, Fiesta, Cotton, etc., but I could almost take or leave the bowl system at this point.
I don't think it helps that we've been to like one decent bowl in almost a decade. And even then I'm counting the champs sports/Russell athletic bowl as a decent bowl.
Ron Cherry is now trending worldwide...
Schools that have never made the NCAA Tournament — the 2014 edition http://wp.me/plDgR-1WQ
Since the introduction of the guaranteed 1 vs 2 game the other marquee bowls have basically become the college football NIT. It is just an extra game mow at neutral site (which that in itself isn't rare for the regular season). It will be worse for the non-playoff bowls once the playoffs begin.
The solution to this would be to treat the bowls as an extra regular season game and then do the playoff selections following the bowls. Then the top bowls become more meaningful as you could possible play in to a playoff. It would also help the selection committee as it provides an extra top tier non-conference game to better compare.
Now there are other factors that have diminished the bowls as well. Namely that because of technology now you can watch more games on an average saturday than around new years.
Klein says their first kiss was at their wedding ceremony
Huh. I've never heard his story. His first kiss, period, was at their wedding ceremony.
"Klein met Kansas State women's basketball player Shalin Spani at the beginning of the 2011 fall semester. They were friends, but one day, Klein said God spoke to him and told him he needed to pursue a deeper relationship with her."
Boss pick-up line.
From the blog Dr. Saturday: In Kansas State circles, quarterback Collin Klein has often been referred to as the Tim Tebow of the Midwest. It's not just because of Klein's bruising style on the field, but also because of his devotion to his faith off … Continue reading →

Thinking about it, it was a really horrible decision not to go for two after KSU scored to make it 32-16. You need a 2 point conversion at some point anyway, and if you get it there, your good. If you miss it, it's still a two score game, you just need two two-pt conversions. Where as if you go for two if you get to 30 and you miss it, you now need the ball back again. I mean, with 13 minutes left, there is such a huge difference between 3 and 4 possessions.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
This Tostitos lady announcing the MVP's is really getting into it.
Must have been adding a little something extra to her Pepsi
You know it's a wild night of sports when a one point safety is only the third strangest story, behind a refereeing travesty in CBB and a waitress injuring Captain Jack in the middle of an NBA game.
