Post your favorite NCAA moments/games that you enjoyed in your lifetime.
For me, I have 2 favorite moments. George Mason making the final 4 in 2006 is #1. That was a magical run and watching them beat Calhoun in the Elite 8 was something special. #2 is Northern Iowa vs Kansas was #2. I was convinced that Kansas was by far the best team that year. When Farokmanesh hit that shot, I went crazy. I was convinced we would make the final 4 after, but we know what happened after that.
George Mason completes its run to the 2006 Final Four by beating UConn in overtime 86-84. Brought to you by CBS SportsLine and CSTV.
Mason was also probably my favorite as well. That whole game was epic. Another one of my favorite's was Illinois vs Arizona in 2005 for a spot in the final four. One of the most furious rally's I've ever seen.
The most exciting game ever...Illinois goes to Final Four! If you dont have anything nice to say about this video or this game, then please keep your two ce...
Sorrentine's 28 footer. That one shot embodies everything that makes the tourney great. Over time thriller, HOF call, big first round upset, one star deciding he doesn't want his career to end. Just perfect.
Lehigh over Duke
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
Everything with Gonzaga pre 2004.
Gonzaga vs. Arizona in 2003 was a sick game and then obv this one....
Final seconds of Gonzaga's Sweet 16 win over Florida in the 1999 NCAA basketball tournament.
When I picked Western Kentucky and the 20 other people in my house had Drake and the WKU kid hits a buzzer beater and I do DX crotch chops to them all.
Mason #1. LeHigh beating Duke was fun!
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
OWG post. I still have my ticket stubs from 1979 Midwest Regionals in Cincy. Indiana St with Bird, Arkansas with the Triplets, Louisville with Darrel Griffith, and Oklahoma. Some serious hoops were played that weekend.
Princeton over UCLA.
That sounds fucking awesome.
Mike Miller vs Butler stands out.
Weber State over UNC 15ish years ago (1999?) when Harold Arcenaux scored 7 billion points.
HEART BREAK CITY!
End of UCLA v. Gonzaga
To sum up:
Also the Gonzaga UCLA game that ended with Adam Morrison bawling at midcourt.
One I don't see get mentioned much is the Ohio State game in 2007 against Tennessee I think

"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
That Arkansas team was unreal. Like I said, some great hoops that weekend.
57. 1979 Midwest Regional Final (Indiana State 73, Arkansas 71)
Indiana State became the only school to reach the Final Four in its one and only NCAA Tournament appearance when the Sycamores' Bob Heaton shifted the ball from his normal right hand to his left for a short shot that bounced twice on the rim before going down.
Such a choke job. I remember that game vividly. It was St Patty's day and I was at my friend's house with 3 dozen OSU fans. I was going nuts when Cage went to the line. He couldn't miss. He was like 10/10 from the field, made the first, and had one more up 3. I was trolling so hard. Then Ron Lewis happened.
My parents went to the 1985 Southeastern semis down in Birmingham, future champion (8) Villanova beating (5) Maryland, (2) North Carolina beating (11) Auburn, then Villanova taking down UNC in the regional finals. My mom grew up in Hillendale but that was their only ties to Maryland. Little did they know their future child would enroll in Maryland almost exactly 20 years later.
One I don't see mentioned is that crazy double OT West Va-Wake Forest game. Talk about heart attack city
Also, the one coach (from hampton i think) going nuts with his arms and legs flailing while being held by a player was great.
I was happy to see duke lose to IU in 2002, and sort of relieved we wouldn't have to face them, but how incredible would it have been to beat them in the final?
If you ever need to piss off a Wake Forest fan for some reason, just say "Kevin Pittsnoggle and Mike Gansey"
I was at the Lehigh - Duke game last year and it was one of the cooler sporting moments that I have seen live.
