During downtime I had nothing else to check and tonight I will have to try to track 2-3 games at once.
First round for all the reasons mentioned already
FGCU winning is cool, but they did that in the first round too.
Second rounds sucks because aaron craft wins and Marshall Henderson doesn't. I'm so pissed.
Normally I agree that having games this late is dumb, but fortunately I get to telework Monday so I usually stay up late on Sundays anyway, so I have no issues.
Are some of you arguing that the old 1-4-3-60 Minutes setup on Sunday was better than this?
Whoa now. Some girl on Facebook made a similar comment and I'm sorry but I completely disagree as I am a sucker for a Cinderella. Will they win it all? Probably not, but it's so much fun (especially since the Terps aren't in...again)
Generally, i'd say 1st round. But 2nd round has had better games this year.
2nd round easily.
In the past the 1/16 matchups weren't even worth watching. Until recently, those scores were generally 102-67 type games. The first round just has way too many teams that are painful to watch.
Second round is where it's at, despite the setup. I'm speaking strictly of the games themselves.

thanks for coming in today
I'm just saying that them winning in round 2 is equal to round 1, so they cancel out, I'm really just pissed about aaron craft playing another week and having to wait till November to watch Henderson again.
No way. Their win tonight was the first time that had ever happened. They don't cancel.
While I agree with Magoo about the schedule it was easily solved with a DVR. I've always felt round 2 was by far the best. Too many blowouts in round 1, by the 2nd round all the joke teams are gone yet Cinderellas remain. There are still a ton of games going on yet you still have good match ups and quality teams for the most part
I don't see any "SAN DIEGO STATE LOST TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE" threads. It's great that they made the Sweet 16, but it wasn't as impactful as their debut on the national consciousness while knocking out a 2 seed, and a two seed worth rooting against.
If anything, their first win was better than the second.
Uhh, that thread existed because most of the people on here hate Georgetown. Can't really say the same for SDSU.

eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
In addition to what azitnay said, I'd argue they're more in the national spotlight today than they were after beating Georgetown. They're all over my FB feed. If they had beaten Georgetown but then lost by 20 to SDSU, they'd be a footnote along with the 6 other teams that did exactly that.
And lol at citing a message board post from a Georgetown-hating board as evidence of anything. The guy who started a Georgetown-Syracuse game thread praising the rivalry got like 50 downvotes.

Part of the point is that beating a two-seed is more likely to generate an "LOL at _____" than beating a 7-seed.
The two seeds were: Duke, Georgetown, OSU, and Miami. Beating any of those is monumental by itself.
The 7 seeds were: SDSU, ND, Creighton, and Illinois. Beating none of those raises an eyebrow by itself.
Making the Sweet Sixteen is historic, but beating the 2 seed was at least 70% of it, and beating a 7 seed was no more than 30% of it.
Add to that that the first round was FGCU's debut and a complete shock. The round of 32 win wasn't nearly as surprising, given what they showed in the round of 64.
FCGU is America's team now. It's all amazing.
I had my Swiss assistant texting my Italian friend "Hey, do you know where Florida Gulf Coast is located?...Wrong, they're from Dunk City, USA!" today.
They're the world's team.
