Well he was better suited to play in a box to box role so I can see why he'd struggle positionally playing in CM behind an SS and two true wings. That doesn't explain his terrible defense and constant giveaways. He's just not any good.
You know, if I had to deal with bull like like this all the time, I'd probably say "Why always me?" too.
... from an Italian newspaper, no less.
I think I'd have choicer words than "why always me?".
He should be able to play for another country.
I am shocked that the Italians are racist.
Now you are going to tell me that English fans like to get drunk.
that can't be real, can it? that's disturbing.
His family is from Ghana, he could have played there if he wanted. He got called up by Ghana and turned it down a few years back, prior to getting an Italian cap. He chose to play for Italy.
Given the picture above, I was sure you were going to say:
Next you'll tell me that the English fans are hung like Irishmen.
Did not know this and it's an understandable decision but I feel for the guy. I'd be foaming at the mouth if I saw that BS. Hell, I'm foaming at the mouth now.
That would make me so mad Id want to go set off fireworks in my bathroom
I expect Spain to win but I think Portugal has a much better chance if the ref lets Bruno Alves play. He has no chance to mark Cesc without bumping and grabbing. Portugal lacks the DMs to keep Xavi, Iniesta and Silva from delivering quality balls to Cesc's feet. If Bruno gets an early yellow I can see this getting out of hand.
Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Alonso, Xavi, Inesta, Silva, Negredo

Yes, Negredo starting is a surprise.
Portugal's lineup is unchanged, except that Almeida is starting instead of Postiga.

If there's a CB pairing that's ill-suited to marking a quick CAM playing target striker it is Pepe and Alves. I really think Cesc would have pawned those two.
dis gon b gud
This should be a good game. 2-2 in regulation, with Spain winning in ET.
I think Portugal are getting too much credit. They deserve to be here, but I think Spain are pretty clearly a cut above. We'll see though.
Spain's quick touch passing is so beautiful.
I hate Nani so much. What the hell is Darke talking about?
Someone please score a goal to make this game more exciting.
This is horrible soccer. I can't enjoy this ****
Probably looks pretty good if you're a Portugal fan. Good half from them. Can they keep it up?

Spain misses 2008 Fernando Torres. To have the best midfield in the world with nothing up top has to be frustrating.
