She has 13 of Delaware's 15 points already.
Worth a watch..
Nancy Pelosi - The Gift that Keeps on Giving..
This is kind of like the women's bball version of the LeBron hypothetical
She is so good. I think I've watched more Delaware than Maryland games. If she came to Maryland instead of Delaware I would be one billion times more invested in the women's basketball program.
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
her teammates are dreadful
I saw her play at Maryland last season and I think she is one of the most talented basketball player relative to her peers that I have ever seen.
The rest of the Blue Hens are chucking up airballs so it might be a very long day for her..
I've seen her play a few games in person this year where she looked pretty bad, then you look up at the end of the game and she has 28 points. Not sure if that says more about her or her (lack of) teammates. Without really knowing anything about the style of play in the WNBA, I'd imagine she will be a fine pro, since she is such a good shooter. But I doubt she'll get the off-the-ball foul calls that she gets now. She'd fit right in at Duke with the way she can oversell a "foul."
Carra is capable of getting hot from the outside at any time, but doesn't do it nearly regularly enough. Parker and Lucas are serviceable. Without EDD, Delaware would probably finish in the neighborhood of fourth or fifth in the CAA.
why did she leave uconn?
I've never seen her teammates play so dreadful. 4 points by the rest of the Team in 18 minutes is not going to cut it..
Don't think she ever enrolled? The pressure of being #1 recruit got to her, she said she hated basketball, and ended playing two years of volleyball at Delaware before going back to hoops.
Delaware has another blonde who's not half bad looking as well.
And she wanted to be closer to her Sister who is disabled..
UK must be pretty salty. They have a big lead and the court side reporter lines up EDD for the walking off the court interview.
is she the one who didn't go to uconn for volleyball or something?
I could have sworn she came out of high school like 6 years ago. Why is she still allowed to play basketball?
She has Lyme disease right?
She took 08-09 off from Basketball all together.
Then she did 09-10 Freshman, 10-11 Soph, 11-12 Junior, and 12-13 as a Senior.
Nice of the rest of her Team to show a pulse here in the Second Half..
watching womens basketball would be a lot more tolerable if there weren't also women announcing the game
No Doubt, where's Johnny when you need him..
She's really really skilled, and she basically single-handedly beat us in the last round (along with a home crowd). She gets a ton of calls, but most of that is based on her talent. I'm happy it worked out for her after how she broke down and left UConn.
The Refs are certainly not helping her today.
Nice run Elena!
Doubt I will ever watch a Deleware game again eventhough my wife went there..
Are WNBA games on TV?
It was great watching her perform over the last couple of years and really was a class act at all times. Definitely the greatest athlete in Delaware history. Class of '84 UD grad.
Solid troll there.
Would they be better off with her or Griner?
Her sister is blind and deaf, fwiw.
While what you said about her being the number one is partly true. It was more due to the fact that she has a blind/deaf sister who basically only communicates with her and it was just hard to be away, along with being homesick.
I've met her a few times in person and she is a legit 6'4-6'5. She plays guard. For women that's absolutely insane. For women, she's basically Dirk with handles like Derrick Rose. She's 10 inches taller than other girls at her position. Combine that with her sheer talent and she's unguardable.
Even if she doesn't want to play professionally for long her family is loaded so she'll be set for life.
If Della Donne and Griner switched, Baylor would be undefeated and Delaware would be out of the tournament.
No pics and a solid Flacco dig, good work fellas
Detroit Hustles Harder
Ran into her at BWW in Newark, as my home(parents place now) is right there. She is rich and gorgeous
