This guy will break the sack record with ease. Good lord.
this hit was so awesome especially considering what had happened the play before
If I remember right he was not only #1 overall but got like a 96 grading from espn, which was like the highest they ever have out. Def not #7 at his position.
*yeah I should've just read all the posts before mine.

Maryland was his first offer!
That is scary. Playing football must be extremely fun for this dude, like EXTREMELY fun. He manhandles everyone lol. Imagine being the QB for some shitty team with a 6'2 250 pound LT and playing his team. TD everytime he got the ball on defense and offense because nobody can catch him and if they do they certainly cant tackle him. Imagine the hard-on the SC coaches got when he committed. His offensive plays are hilarious because he's like a runaway freight train with the ball.
You cant actually think that can you?
Manziel is like barely 6 foot and doesn't have a great arm. He's got a long way to go as a passer to be a first round pick.
He had one of the most prolific seasons for a QB in college football history..and he's a freshman. GMs will look at Russell Wilson and use him as justification to make the pick. Not to mention he is ridiculously good. If he has a comparable season or better next year he is a mortal lock for 1st round.

I don't really follow CFB that much, but is Manziel a Russell WIlson or a Tim Tebow?
Much more like Wilson. In fact he would probably be one of the best comparisons. I just looked at a 2014 mock and Manziel was projected at 3.
Well if a random NFL draft site says so, I guess you've won.
Setting aside the rare chance he has another year as good as this one, the NFL isn't exactly known for quickly adapting to changed perceptions about the size/height/weight/etc certain position players are supposed to be. Especially franchise QBs.
Not making any judgement on how good he is/would be, just the rare chance a QB his size would go first round, especially high first.
How many Air Raid quarterbacks are there in the NFL? is Brandon Weeden the best?
Russell Wilson and Drew Brees are exceptions to the rule. It's like when people project a 6'5" power forward too high and point to Charles Barkley as justification.
Here's Wilson's combine profile from last year. For Manziel, the personal interviews are going to be key.
It only takes one team to make somebody a first-round pick.
Schools that have never made the NCAA Tournament — the 2014 edition http://wp.me/plDgR-1WQ
i.e. Bengals and Akilli Smith and David Klingler. Broncos and Tebow.
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
Yeah youre right..we havent seen an influx of mobile QBs being selected relatively high or anything recently. People used to love to say a mobile QB cant perform. Same thing with small RBs too right?
Im not using the draft site as a concrete example, just pointing out the fact that most people in media would agree he is a 1st round pick. Ive heard his height is overblown anyhow and that he is atleast 6'0".
As much as this winning stuff is fun, I really am going to miss dreaming of these guys in Burgundy and Gold.
Coming out of HS, he had to have been over 50% to be a top 5 pick. Just blatantly cant miss.
Just as long as everyone else in the NFC East is competent enough to not get a top 2 or 3 pick next year.

My gamecock buddy is talking about getting that sequence tattooed on his forearm step by step. I offered to pay for half.
My future son-in-law, who played with Clowney at SC last year, says he really is a complete freak of nature. Unbelievably athletically gifted, and a really good guy to boot!
I met him one time last season, waiting for Joey outside of the SC locker room. Guy is so damn intimidating, just to look at him.
"Academics is important, because without them....you aren't allowed to play!"
Wow...that hit reminds me of this blast from the past.
Maryland player rocks Cal player
