Caps in 7
Rangers in 6......(i'm biased)
Caps in 6.
just doesn't ever get old.....so fired up
Sergei Federov gets the game winning goal to win in game 7 of the first round against the New York Rangers.
"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
SO bitter he left when he did. We could've gotten another 2-3 good years out of him.
I was there and I don't know that I've flipped out for a moment quite like I did for that one.
I think we're probably going to lose this one, but that doesn't mean I won't be fired up to hell for it.
My favorite memory from Caps/Rags is '90 Playoffs and John Druce. Still makes no sense. 14 goals in 15 games.
Wow, Druuuuce was 23 years ago? Man that hurts.
Sky Kerstein @SkyKerstein 1m
#Caps Oates says he expects Ward to play Thursday barring any setback
Lundqvist not on ice. Rangers say he is fine. Odd.
Rangers. Why does it always have to be the Rangers?
NYR fans on here - can one of you guys explain to me what happened to Chris Kreider? Last year at this time it looked like he was going to set the league on fire, but his numbers (both standard and "inside" like Corsi) have been straight garbage this season. What's the deal?
Who sits for Ward? Volpatti?
Just not good. He's been very hesitant, not really getting involved when he's on the ice. Then he got stuck on the 4th line a lot of the time which didn't help and was sent down.
I doubt hell be in the lineup if guys like Boyle and Dorsett are healthy. I think he'll be a good player in time but he wasn't ready at all this year.
Got my tix today, surprised they were so easy to get... Rest of games I will watch from home other than game 5
I think it's kind of unrespectful- Ovie
I was hoping that Laich can somehow get back on the ice but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Would have loved to have seen the Caps w/him healthy for the last month. If/when he does, and barring any other health issues, you have to go with this forward lineup in a one game do or die:
MoJo - Bax - Ovi
Erat - Ribs - Brouwer
Laich - Matty P - Fehr
Chimmer - Hendricks - Wardo
Volpatti - Beags - Wolski
D's set as is.

Laich had sports hernia surgery. Not counting on him at all.
Best case is second round for Laich.
I think a big key for the Caps is which Matty P shows up. The Rgas are a really big physical team. That has given Matt problems in the past. I'm not worried about Backie or Ribiero, but we need legitamate playing making from the 3rd line in a tough, potentially long series.
Hmm, maybe not.
@stopthehats: Brooks Laich tells @EBJunkies @moneymetalcakes he's got eyes on playing in first series, has not had sports hernia surgery.
Caps in 5.
