LOL good for you. 30-11 would be playing Thunder-level basketball the rest of the way night in and night out. Not a chance. I think they should be thrilled to rebound and go .500 the rest of the way, which I could see happening. Wall has energized the team and is definitely helping Beal.
They wouldn't need to be a 60 win caliber team as you keep saying. They would just need to win 30 out of 41. Absurdly unlikely, yes, and they're clearly not a top 10 in the NBA but they very well might be able to play like a top 5 team in the East, which is possible once Wall gets to playing 35-40 min. Don't think I'm expecting this to happen, I expect them to wind up between the 9 and 12 spots prolly around 5 or so games out. And after watching all but a handful of games this year (I could count on one hand the amount of games I missed even during the 4-28 start--not sure why I put myself through that) I don't have a doubt in my mind that this was a playoff team if healthy all season
if the rest of the team is a 4-28 team then john wall isn't going to make them a 30-11 team. Good to great teams don't need their superstar to get regular season wins.
30-11 is just an absurd thought considering like I said only 4 teams in the league played to that level to start the year and they are the elite of the elite.

Pic Sigs are for losers.
This is so stupid.
If you watched the first 32 games that team was obviously better than a 4-28 team. Maybe the luck will flip in the second half. I'm done though, I clearly think this is extremely unlikely the contrarion in me is just arguing for the sake of arguing
Isn't it at all possible that 35-36 wins get you in this year? This equates to going 26-15 or something like that. Thats not an impossible stretch. I aint saying its happening. I'm just sayin...
There's a better chance of the Terps coming from behind to win the game that just ended.
If the wizards went 30-11 it would be one if the most improbable things to ever happen in sports.
The Chicago bulls were 24 and 16 a week ago... They are the three seed in the east. This is how hard it is to get to 26-15 even.
if the wizards were go go 21-20 over their last 42 it would be insanely impressive. But they aren't making the playoffs because of how bad their start was, even as an 8 seed.
to add I am sure they are SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than their 4-28 start without john wall and were just the unluckiest team in history.
Let's not forget that Nene was out/severely limited during most of that start and Beal was nowhere near how he is now.
There were at least 3 people asking me this question. We dug ourselves into too big of a hole. I'm just enjoying how the team is playing right now.
Exactly. We'd be one and done at best anyway so better to be in the lottery and see if we can get lucky for once (yeah, Wiz getting lucky in a lottery is about as likely as them going 30-11, but a kid can dream). But the team is fun as hell to watch right now, and with the Terps stumbling a bit and Caps flat out awful I'm just thankful for that.
Did you watch those games?
The answer is yes and the reason if fat tire
I'm not trying to rain on your parade. It's just that the bar is so fucking low around here that a few good games and everyone goes crazy. I get it, the East sucks. Wake me when Nene plays the rest of the year without getting hurt again.

Yes I'd say I saw maybe about 10 of them. They were close but lost a good number of times. It doesnt make them capable of 25-30 wins the rest of the way.
You have to look at it one week at a time. Going 30-11 or 26-15 might not be probable but it depends on what the teams in front of them do. The Celtics are reeling and wiz are 8.5 games out which is still a lot. However, 10 days ago Wiz were 12.5 games out. 37 wins could take the 8th spot. Just beat the teams you are now supposed to beat and see where you are in another 2 weeks.
Thats what every other team says about the wizards.
I don't think the Wizards can make the playoffs because it looks like every Eastern Conference playoff team will finish above 500, there won't be a 38-44 type of team in the playoffs. Boston(the current 8 seed) maybe a game below 500 at the moment, but I'd expect them to be playing a lot better as the playoffs get closer. Even if Atlanta and Milwaukee(the 6th and 7th seeds) struggle a bit during the 2nd half of the year, I still think they will finish with winning records. To me, the best the Wizards can do during the final 41 games may be 26-15 because since J.Wall has come back they've shown themselves to be a very good team because they blow out bad teams at home and are competitive with the playoff-caliber teams, but 36 wins won't be enough to make the playoffs this year.
I think they have an excellent chance.
If Mitch does decide to go you could be looking at 10 wins or less next year - MdBbReporter
They're basically playing like a lot of expected at the start of the year, a 6-8 seed. The problem is they had one of the worst starts in NBA history and will have to play like a top 4 seed the rest of the year to make it.
We sat court side last night and Cartier told us they were planning on making the playoffs...
I'm planning on banging kate upton while jessica alba sits on my face.
I mean what else would you expect him to say?
Celtics are 20-23 and going backwards. Bullets can do this. They're a much better team than Boston.
