Jim Caldwell to take over as OC per Baltimore Sun.
Merry Christmas Ray Rice!
Lol, he finally commits to the run, has success, and gets fired.
Wow. Wouldn't have shocked me in the off-season. Didn't expect it today. I know there will be much rejoicing in ravenland.
Good Riddance Camoran
2013: Norville, Reid, or the field... who ya got?
Like I alluded to in the Ravens thread, I believe this firing has little to do with stats or points, and everything to do with dysfunction between the OC and all of the skill players on offense.
Does Caldwell want the job beyond this year? I don't know.
Yeah, the timing was really odd, considering the offense looked pretty good yesterday for a road game. Should Dean Pees be sweating?
They should have fired Cam after that draw-timeout-screen-timeout-sneak sequence before halftime.
A year late but better than the predictable scapegoat firing after we would have been bounced in the first round. All eyes on Harbaugh now. Time to put up or shut up.
I would think Harbaugh would be gone with a 9-7 finish and no playoffs/first round loss. Reminds me of when Snyder fired Norv with 4 games left in the season.
I don't think that was Cam. I think Cam called victory formation and Joe sadf fuck you and ran a play...thus the infighting/Harbs yelling at Cameron.
you'd think wrong. Zero % chance that Harbaugh gets fired.
1st half. 2nd half we were again a poop sandwich. Cam never adjusts.
Also, who is to blame for our route running, it seems to be all fly patterns and or the defenders bullying our receivers when they cut?
lol at anybody thinking Harbaugh is even close to the hot seat.
Go away, KA!
I really think harbaugh is a very good coach. He'd have another job the second after this one ended. Dealing with age/injury issues isn't always easy. You got beat in OT by a hot team while playing on the road. the steelers got destroyed at home by a team with a lame duck coach, nothing to play for and had to travel west to east, hot to cold, for an early game. Were I a ravens fan, I wouldn't be panicking. I would be a little concerned that my team was making this move a few weeks before the playoffs started.
Except that Norv didn't have 5 straight playoff trips under his belt.
And Bisciotti and Snyder don't share very much in common.
Reid will be a head coach somewhere next year.
Not sure you want norv.
I'd wait and see how JC does. Could be a very good fit for this team.
Robert Griffin giveth and Robert Griffin taketh away...
(Cam Cameron's job and soul)
I'd take Norv as OC right now. He'd fit very well. The game tends to pass him by as a HC but he'd quickly get it back if all he was focusing only on offense. Reid would be fine, but I don't think we'd have him for more then a year and he presents some of the
Personally, I would have waited until the offseason to fire Cam. My biggest fear is the offense faux catching fire for a few games and then we go in to next year with Caldwell as OC.
hairball is on the hot seat next year if they don't go deep into the playoffs. Bisciotti is not bank rolling for just playoff appearances, especially if he has a coach with super bowl experience available.
hairball is that middle mgmt guy who never gets invited to corporate. but he's actually overachieved for being a doofus special teams and DB coach with no prior HC experience.
Don't you mean Kirk Cousins?
I'll take that fear. I don't think we'll see much improvement in the next two games, honestly, but there will definitely be some sort of pick-me-up. There usually is under a new coach like this. If that means Caldwell is the OC again next year so be it. The biggest question will continue to be what do you pay Joe Flacco?
