We have a few hours until the game...why not start now and get some of it done?
Leggo. Lol the three players I really want are all likely 6-9th rounders
If my team sucks i'm drafting Gary as the coach to sway the judges.

Take my spot. That makes 12
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
I'll judge if you guys deem me worthy. Should be pretty easy to rank whoever drafts Jordan as first and then who cares!
First pick or bust!
We should limit this to 1 year. We want to pick these players at their best. It's easier to judge them at their peak since we know how they played at their absolute best.
Also 5 rounds is easier since all we need is a starting lineup. No one is going to use their bench.
I agree 1 year makes more sense. When we did the current player version 5 years made sense so you can draft young players. This will be mainly retired players. I don't see the problem with drafting a bench though.
compromise on 3 years
I like the idea of drafting a bench because it mimics an actual game rotation. Still only 8 rounds (9 w/ a coach) so it shouldn't drag on forever.

I like 3 year peak as opposed to one single best season.
IVWT would be a good judge. Jay and Wilbo would be good too. 1 older poster would also be good, although I have no handle on how old jay is, maybe he is an older poster?
3 years is good. Damn second pick duno who I want to choose.
what's the deal on time limit? I should be able to post (at least from my phone) for the most part except for like 3-6 tomorrow and friday
I'm somehow not in this. AWESOME
We can go to 14 teams if you want. Get one person...
yes. please. I want to be in this. Im making a perfect specimen team.
Should I pick? Are all the rules set?
just remembered. If we do ONE year. Then we can use http://www.whatifsports.com/locker/
WhatIfSports has a free simulation machine where IIRC you can pick a player by the season...build a roster, and then play the teams. Something to look into commish.
Actually I don't know why we need an even number. Let's do 13 teams and after the draft each team can make their arguments. sound like a plan?
Also I'm fine with 3 year peak for the players.
Alright no more adding teams after 13. Start wm
Ok sorry big al didn't see you. willbo will pick 13 and you'll go 14th in the first round.
I think you can use that simulator as a factor in your arguments
Draft can start whenever.

For what it's worth, I spent a lot of time debating between Lebron and MJ. I liked Lebron because I knew I could put him anywhere from the 2 to the 4, but I liked MJ because I knew since I don't pick until the end of both the 2nd and 3rd rounds, that if there isn't much left, Jordan is a better one man show. Also, Jordan has the better singular great season.
WM discussing it didn't effect my choice, but as in previous hypo board drafts we shouldn't be able to talk about anyone that hasn't been drafted. Maybe someone will forget that player and another can profit from it. Only discuss players that have been drafted.
That being said, I was actually thinking another way, I was torn between LBJ or a big because I know there will be a run on centers in 1st/second rounds. But Lebron can do everything and control every part of the game.
I'll take King James - three years being his HEAT seasons
