Six very close games. Ray Allen turns out to be the X factor off the bench.
***wmterp*** 4 games to 2
I'm pretty sure he is starting Ray Allen. If he isn't starting Ray Allen then I am up early in every matchup.
I honestly think I win this matchup in more convincing manner than against Titan.
Oh yeah? Well I honestly think I beat your team bad too!
Having a bunch of guys with similar strengths and 2 huge weaknesses that deter both of your main potential strengths (getting beat up on the boards deterring his ability to get points in transition, and no outside shooting limiting his slashers ability to get in the lane)....that seems like a great recipe for what happens on a basketball court.
I think wm made a good pick every round, but in terms of all of them fitting together as a team I dont think it's perfect by any means. Still too much for canyon in this one. But if jordan isnt dominating a game he has a lot of problems. And will did a good job of hav ing guys that can cause jordan issues
I absolutely agree that they don't all fit perfectly together in THIS matchup, but that doesn't mean they can't in different units. Canyons team presents different challenges on the perimeter then most in this tournament, even with all of his limitations.
I think this is a really close series, and I see the backcourts being relatively equal. I just think that ***WMTerp*** gets more support from his frontcourt in terms of defense, rebounding and just overall bodies that he can throw at Willbo. In particular, I love Kemp/ Marion as guys who will just be flying everywhere causing havoc.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
I think drafting Jordan and then forcing him to play PG instead of letting him do what he does best is criminal in this format.
I also think Canyon's team is well constructed to make you pay for that.
I like your players on paper better than his, but as a team, you have big problems.
Well that was kind of my point. Do I think he's capable of playing PG? Absolutely yes, particularly in a slow system. Is it ideal for him? No, of course I'd rather use him primarily as a scorer. I do have a PG though, a very good one.
This was my thought as well. I like WM a little more on paper but ***willbo*** wins it with his arguments 4-3
WM gets by in a tough one, 8-4
Now that it's over, let me just say that I really do believe all of the arguments I made in this thread. This isn't "politicking" for the next round because I'm going to use a completely different strategy.
The one thing I do agree with Will about is the fact that I really do have no idea what Clyde Drexler does, because all I've ever seen of him are highlights where he does crazy shit on the fast break and I don't really know how offenses work.

I would have gone for Canyon. WM team is flawed even with Jordan.
