Titan has really won me over in the sense that he's really pointed out the flaws in canyons team. For awhile I just thought "o, he'll just run the break and be unstoppable", but it isn't always that easy and dictating flow is a two way street. That said, I don't think Titan has the perfect players to beat his team either. Canyon makes a great point about eliminating some of Chris Pauls greatest strenghts. I agree with chrs that he is also expecting so much from Shaq. Shaq was truly great but he doesn't make up for 4 other mismatches.
I'll take ***canyon*** but it was close.
I still can't believe that Will thinks Manu is:
B. Slow footed
C. Not good at penetrating
E. A bad defender
Blows my mind. I know Will hates KG, so maybe this wins him over.
Manu Ginobili Rejects kevin Garnett :D
I don't know who necessarily has the better team, but I think titan has made the better argument. I vote *titan*
A lot of respect for the work titan did. And I think both were kinda extreme in some arguments against the other team's players. Two strong teams.
***Canyon*** in a 4-3 victory.
Detroit Hustles Harder
I would like to point out that Shaq had 3 40/20 games in one postseason. He averaged in his 3 NBA finals:
38/17/2 and 2.7 blocks 61%
33/16/5 and 3.4 blocks 59%
36/12/4 and 2.8 blocks 60%
38 and 17.
2000-2002 Shaq is not losing a playoff series. In 2001 he lost 1 game in the playoffs. 1. That 1 game he went 44/20 while Kobe went for 15/3 with 6 turnovers on 31%.

Game 2 he almost had a quadruple double. 28/20/9/8
This is so tough for me to decide. When does voting close?
looks like canyon is taking this. I think he clearly has inferior personnel, but made good arguments. Neither of these advances next round
Tomorrow at 9
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
This will be the closest contest in the entire tournament.
I'm taking ***Canyoneroooo*** in an epic 7 game battle with a triple OT victory in game 7. It's that close.
I'm assuming this means Kobe tried to go 1 on 5 at the end of regulation and the first two OTs and missed, and they won when they wouldn't give him the ball anymore.
In the spirit of Mike Grinnon hitting the winning FT against Duke in the ACCT in 2005, Brad Miller grabs an offensive rebound from Kobe and sticks it back at the buzzer for the Game 7 win.
Looks like it doesn't matter at this point, but I'm going with ***titanterp***. He has a deeper bench and the most dominant player on the court. Will did a great job of explaining his strategy, and honestly, it's something that would work a lot. If these teams played 100 times, one is winning 51 and the other 49. There's not really a wrong answer here.
GG Titan. Well met.
Couldn't disagree more. As much as I tried to play it down this was a terrible matchup for me. Perhaps the stone worst in the field. The guy I face next is a much better matchup for me despite maybe having a better team than titans. We will see how it goes though.
It's a bad matchup especially because it was against someone aware enough to know why. Others may not have done as good of a job highlighting why I wouldn't have been able to break as much as I want.
I still think I win this series though. Not sure what toogs is talking about as far as inferior personnel. I def have better talent its just that his system and style would've caused issues.
I think we all agree that we would pay thousands of dollars to see this series. Fantastic work from everyone involved here
Canyoneroooo moves on, 8-4
Eh, I should have said neither of you was a threat to win it all--I have no idea who you face next.
Was the Manu bit just trolling/posturing or do you actually believe that he is slow, bad at penetrating, and a poor defender?
Some hyperbole but I also wanted to emphasize how much trouble I thought we would have penetrating against such a good defensive wing like Pippen with Malone being able to help off Rodman. Rodman was amazing at what he did but this a bad series for him IMO. If you have a 4 how can spot up I probably lose.
Manu was so quick. He could penetrate against anyone.
The thing I was worried about was the Rodman/Malone matchup. Granted it wasn't Rodman's prime, but Malone made Rodman his bitch in the NBA Finals. He averaged like 2/6 and 5 fouls in 20 minutes over the 12 games.
