Frazier vs Magic - Magic
Thompson vs Carter - draw
Bing vs Maravich - draw
Durant vs Barry - Kool
Wilkins vs Cooper - Kool
Webber vs Williams - Kool
Olajawon vs Hayes - Kool
Bellamy vs Thurmond - draw
Coaching is a draw (Red vs Riley)
Early advantage - Kool
StewieTerp only true center is Thurmond and he played PF early in his career (Chamberlain was the center). I see a big advantage in the frontcourt and that should be the difference.
Durant and Hakeem would be just about the most gorgeous pairing of inside-out basketball ever. I like it better than Malone-Kobe on Canyanero's team.
The elite post game of Hakeem + the elite slashing and shooting of Durant = matchup chaos.
I'd go Webber/Hakeem down low, with 'Nique/Durant on the perimeter. Good size outside of Webber, but I like his mid-range game and matchup problems when paired with Hakeem and Durant.
Who's running the point, here? Bing? That's Kool's main weakness to me.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
I'm pretty sure Walt Frazier is the PG.
You're really underestimating Walt Frazier's game. First, he was picked the best defensive PG by Bleacher Report. Second, he has one of the most legendary game 7 ever. 33 points, 19 assists and 5 steals, One of the steals was against Jerry West that took him mentally out of the game. Don't sleep on my PG.
BTW, my backup PG is no slouch either in Dave Bing. A former NBA scoring champion.
Please tell me you aren't using Bleacher Report to evaluate players.
No. But they list the best PGs, SG, SF, PF, C and other categories. It give you a good idea how people are ranked in different categories. Especially those in different generations. I'm sure few people have seen Walt Frazier play on TV so this was a good reference point.
I really love Kools team. He won't match up with a couple of teams on the perimeter, but he has an awesome 3-5 group.

I like the pure shooting on stewieterp's squad, but too much raw talent on kool. Dream and Webber's passing ability will let Thompson and Niq run wild with highlight reel dunks.
If Kool had a great distributing point guard, his team would be amazing.
Even someone like Rondo.
I'm happy with Frazier and I needed a good defensive player on the perimeter. My original choice for PG was taken two spots ahead of me so I had to change strategy. But Frazier still had 19 assists in a game 7 playoff game.
Not to burst your bubble, but he really had like 9 assists in that game. He played in the era where scorekeepers would literally make up assists and rebounds while making FG attempts vanish from the statsheet.
That guy looked at the game and concluded he had 9 assists at most. It does make me question the stats of Wilt and Russell and whether they really averaged 20-25 rebounds per game. With that being said, 36 and 9 is still a great game 7 performance.
If you replaced everyone on the New Orleans Pelicans except for Greivis with Kool's team, how many assists per game would GV average?
Magic is the best player on the floor in this series, but isn't he surrounded by guys that score off the bounce - like VC needed the ball in his hands. No doubt there'd be some lobs, but I'm not sure what stewie's go to strategy is - tight game, 2 minutes left, half court offense, who gets the ball and how do they score?
Love his team
Also going ***kool***
That inside/ outside combo of Durant/ Hakeem is devastating
Magic is sooooo good for this format IMO and deserves a better supporting cast. Sorry to see him go but ***kool***has the better team.
There's always one in every crowd.
He did the same in my matchup. I think he is pissed about the extra threads and is being passive aggressive or something. Yawn.
A Magic/Maravich backcourt would be so much fun to watch. I don't think they'd win more than a game in this series though. Durant is unguardable in this series. Hakeem probably, too.
Kool's team is incredible
Maravich is a terrible fit with Magic.
I don't even think Pistol is draft worthy on his own.
