Holy shit, has there ever been a more overrated player? Congratulations on being the worst offensive point guard of all time. Your go to move is bringing the ball up really fast then passing it around the perimeter. Then you just stand there. What a joke. How does a player with no left hand start for a high major program? How would Ohio State NOT be better if they had a guard who could drive and kick on a regular basis? Have you seen him every go by anyone, without running right into them and getting a foul called?
Yeah he hit a GW three earlier in the tournament. That completely disguised his awful play down the stretch. He turns the ball over all the time, can't hit clutch free throws and apparently can only hit three's when there is under 10 seconds left on the clock. Wichita State was sitting there in the first half DARING him to shoot the elbow jumper and he wouldn't/couldn't. Sounds like a player who has a future at the next level IMO! God, in a sick way, I WANT him to make the league, just to see him go 0-5 and get lit up by every NBA starting point guard.
Honestly, I didn't even really care that much about him before the tournament. He wasn't like the standard Duke white donk who grates on everyone's nerves and flails all over the place, but also has legitimate skill. But one big shot and now everyone can't stop slurping him. He's a good on ball defender, and makes "gritty" plays, but he should be like the 7th man on a tournament team. So happy he's going home and I don't have to try and root for him to out flop Curry.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
trey burke is from columbus
He's not as bad as you make him sound, but he is basically Pe'Shon Howard with a bit more talent. He refuses/can't hit a 12 ft shot consistently and that kills a team when you have a guard that can't do that. But he isn't terrible.
If you put Craft on MD this season, we're in the tournament easy...
This is an idiotic thread.
This isn't a new thing. You've just been missing it somehow. His only discernible skills is relentlessly hand checking.
In all seriousness he is a really good on ball defender. He does a good job of disrupting the other teams PG and getting steals (usually). His lateral quickness and foot speed on D is really really good. He also gets away with a ton of hand checking on defense.
But yea his offense is completely terrible when teams back off of him. His shot is extremely ugly. He also seems to have questionable decision making.
He's a pre-med student, though.
The kid was the second leading scorer, PG, and best defender on a top ten team. He's a really, really good college basketball player.
If I properly bait some of the Bucknuts over here, I bet you'd change your tune
2.5 to 1 assist turnover ratio, 42% FGs, 77% FTs, so I'm going to guess there have been quite a few more overrated players. But don't let stats get in the way or anything.
Go away, KA!
Has anyone figured out why he always looks inappropriately embarrassed?

lol - stats don't tell me that he won't take or make an open 14ft jumper
Don't forget that the B1G was overrated!
I fully subscribe to this thread's message.
Craft blows. I'm blown away watching him and then hearing the hype he gets. He's trash.
And LOL @ him going pro. If he gets drafted by an NBA team, holy shit.
You have to admit it gets annoying with him though.
He's not a good 3 point shooter (30%), that's literally the only part of his game that is below average for a guard.
He's not an NBA player, but he's a very good college basketball player.
the big ten peaked in 1993
I tend to filter out that kind of stuff for the most part. I tend to be more annoyed by this board always saying "X SUCKS" more than the media fellating a guy. But yeah, he definitely gets a disproportionate amount of hype for a 10 ppg/2nd team B1G guy.
I was so excited to see his season was over, but then I went limp when I found out he is a junior and I'll have to watch him again next year.
Deshaun Thomas' facepubes are way more embarassing
His offense is average, but defensively he's as good as any guard in the country. White guards who defend are rare. Ideally he is surrounded by scorers and won't have to ever try to score on an iso.
In fairness to Craft, he's had some big offensive games (see Indiana's senior night)
Seven teams selected with 4 top 4 seeds and possibly 0 in the Final 4.
on D, he reminds me a lot of Johnny Rhodes. He has an amazing ability to end up with the ball in his hands.
He's not nearly as horrible on O as the OP suggests either.
Guess you missed the Arizona game. Cats took an 11 pt lead as Craft sat with 2 early fouls. He comes back and the game totally turned around and that was no coincidence. This is a round after hitting the game winning 3 to beat Iowa State..
He ain't great, guy misses more layups than Sean Mosley circa 2009-2010. But to say Kraft sucks is just stupid.
How does the 6th man of the year start?
so i guess if louisville wins the BE is unquestionably the best conference, but if not, no conference is?
