Always funny to hear a clean be described as an "olympic squat clean."
I am conviced this kid is taking steroilds or PEDS. Also, I am not sure if he has that super tight power lifting shirt which some say acts like a springboard and can add 250 pounds to a bench press.
As pointed out he has short arms and is built for power lifting.
I have worked out with super strong freaks, in West Va, and one benched 1,000 pounds, He played at Sheperd and NFL for 2 years. I was not his close friend, but my friend knew him well and worked out with him another friend who benched 750 at 242 and paused, which is competition lift. I used to wiork out with these guys about 2 times a month back some years. Donnie benched 1000 with power suit and other items. At one point he had world record,
Tom did 700 natural.
Also, I worked out in gyms loaded with steroid abusers and in NOVA I worked out with friend who went into WWF. He is suffering now from abuse of PEDS.
I got up to 465 but was not a pause, called touch and go. I worked out since age 16 and heavy lifting for so many years, causes shoulder issues, I have had 5 shoulder surgeries and these are in part from weights, torn labrum, rotator cuff, distical clavical thing and other things.I hate steroids and I call it cheating. I watched guys who could nothing and get over 400 bench presses. One kid weighed 155 and 2.5 years later he is huge at 240 from juice, but his neck sublaxated and he looked like a turtle, His muscles became too strong for his spinal cord and his back blew out.
In summary all the people I knew who lifted real heavy and took PEDS are in bad shape now. many have aged horribly.
