Lol, no shot. While some would be okay with it, a shit ton more would be furious and you'd have an even bigger distraction from liberal media/fans who are pissed.
Putting human behaviors that have nothing to do with orientation (liking art, well dressed) into binary buckets of "gay" or "straight" behaviors is totally smal-minded and hurtful in a time when gay people are still second-class citizens. So yes, I can judge heteronormative posters.
It's not a bad thing to be gay so stop being so hypersensitive. I could see getting my feelings hurt if someone thought I was gay, but it's not like I know any of these people and they would be hurt by what I'm saying.
I'm not the one who classifies gays as second class citizens...
Also, way to justify why YOU are able to judge anyone, your all-mighty.

Nah. Think about how people killed that 49ersDB. it'd almost be insurance of a job for a fringe guy. And anyone in the first 4 would be an instant high profile name.
They would get over it.
I think this will become a bigger issue than the opposite. How long until the first guy comes out and accuses/sues the team of cutting them because they're gay?
I honestly think this will be no big deal once the initial news coverage fades away. I think we're at a point where the public/media will act as a check and balance system against any sort of locker room division. I'm not sure the same would be said about 5 years ago, but so much has drastically changed in the last few years.
Yeah, if it is some ST on a southern team, good luck keeping your job.
If it is a guy like Romo, Flacco, Brees, Ryan, the shit storm could be ridiculous. Gay QB in Texas with a 6 year, 9 figure contract? It would set back civil rights 20 years.
Even if it's apparent that the outed gay player should be cut, it will still be brought up by ESPN and the media as a prejudice move.
The problem is the fans that actually attend NFL games are far, far worse than the general public
Because I'm judging assholish behavior on an issue I care a lot about. I'm not a particularly good dresser and I'm not very punctual, you can judge me for those things all you want. But those are behaviors, not orientation or race or creed. Do you see the difference?
Do you still classify gay people as second class citizens?
What? Me? Of course not. But our country and our culture still does, but the tide is changing.
Can we just get to the Godwin's Law post so this thread can run its course?
Read my writings to nobody in general:
i like boners, so sue me.
Weird that a free sports board on the Internet isn't producing a high level of discourse about a complicated social issue.
I'll try Applebee's and see how that goes.
You're the one who said it, when nothing of that sort was even remotely brought up. You argue with me because you THINK that I am against gay rights and players outing themselves. Instead you just make yourself look like an ass by saying idiotic things like that. If I was to say the EXACT thing you did, you would have clicked the quote button so fast and would have been the first person to criticize and harass me.
Oh Jesus Christ...
Alright you caught me, I hate gay people soooo damn much. Answering a direct question with my nearly baseless claim is worse than the holocaust. Oh no! I mentioned the holocaust I guess I hate jewish people and support Hitler too!
You people are the worst. You think that because I think a person might be gay, that I automatically hate him and am a terrible human being. It's the only logical reason you could justify me as being a terrible person. So if I say to my buddy "Hey I think that kid may be jewish," that makes me a horrible person too? It only makes me a horrible person if I change my thinking about that person and treat him differently. That would be racist/anti-semitic/homophobic for sure. So by your logic me searching for a gay person means that I've changed how I think about that person for the negative. Yes if I, or anyone, did that they would be a horrible person. But I'm not. That's called being presumptuous. Being gay is not an insult, so why should thinking a person is gay be condemned? It does not define them. Vernon is a great Terp, and a great person. Being gay is not going to change either of those things, so stop acting like me calling him gay will.
Please EXPLAIN how it would affect the TEAM as a UNIT if no one would be uncomfortable about it
Saying that you suspect Vernon is gay because he likes art galleries is pretty terrible.
You're not a horrible human being because you hate gays. You're horrible because you think speculating about someone's sexuality on a public forum is an acceptable activity.
If the NFL is worried about a little litigation, they probably should close shop right now.
