I like the talent in the early 2nd round. A lot of people are leaving early cause of the weak draft, so I think there are going to be some guys available that thought they'd be first rounders, but fall. And so if you can grab a guy in the 2nd that just needs some maturation and you stick him in the D league, I think the value there will be higher this year than in previous years, though certainly not in the top part of the 1st round where it is much weaker.
I think it's kind of unrespectful- Ovie
I do not know what to think of Zeller fro Wizards, he disappears a lot, but you get solid work ethic and attitude.
I am curious to see real height without shoes, wingspan and verticals at combine.
I am not sure Bennet is 6'7", he may be 6'6" or less.
I compare Burke to Chris Paul.
Is McCary coming out? I might take him over Zeller. I want see how tall eachayer is.
If Len is there, do you take him? I just might,
This draft is screwed up. I think it is deep, but no impact players. You can get some good players into the second round, I would take Brandon Paul at 48 in a second.
Players not in top 12 I would take are Dieng, Payne from Michigan State, Thomas OSU, Paul Illinois, Wolters NDakato, Hardaway Jr. , I think Pierre Jackson from Baylor can make NBA.
Bleacher Report have the Wizards taking Giannis Adetokunbo. That would be the most gutsy move Grunfeld have ever made. I just LOVE this kid. He can play PG, SG, SF and PF. Can shoot from the perimeter and play solid defense. He will have to stay in France for a couple of years but he is worth the wait. I think Len would be a good pick for the same reason (huge upside, can afford to wait a couple of years)
The Wizards have nine players under contract for next season. (Wall, Beal, Ariza, Nene, Okofor, Seraphin, Singleton, Booker and Vesely). They can sign as free agents players from this past season (Webster, Price, Temple and Martin). They have a mid level exemption and a bi-annual expemtion to use. So if the can stay healthy, especially Wall. Beal and Nene, they're a playoff team. But Wall, Beal and Adetokunbo could be a great core.
So why is Adetokunbo a stud? I feel like we get the same report about every international player and more often then not they're just Jan Vesely.
isn't that guy playing in one of really low divisions of greek basketball, and just dominating scrubs there? seems hard to put a lot of stock into that
stfu about adetokunbo, and stop using bleacher report as support
Talent is zero sum. If you don't have it, someone else does. Think about how much talent Jan Vesely doesn't have.
stfu if you don't know anything about the NBA or basketball in general. Stay away.

Adetokoubo started playing basketball with the youth teams of Filathlitikos in Greece. He began his professional career in the Greek Second Division, with the senior men's club of Filathlitikos in the 2012-13 season. When he turned 18, in December 2012, he signed a five-year contract with the Spanish League club Basket Zaragoza 2002. The contract with Zaragoza runs through the 2016–17 season, and includes affordable NBA buyout clauses after each season.
He stayed with Filathlitikos on loan, for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.
From a few days ago...
This is the kind of kid that the Spurs pick at 28 and develop correctly, or the Wizards pick at 37 and completely whiff on.
Also Chad Ford has Len #8 on his big board.
Another intriguing big man enters the 2013 draft as French teenager Mouhammadou Jaiteh declares his eligibility.
He would be a great pick at #37 for the Wizards. I doubt if he'll be available for them at #37 though.
McDermott is retuning to Creigton. Will be in 2014 draft.
Anthony Bennett becomes the 3rd projected top 8 player to have surgury before the NBA Draft. Shoulder surgury
Now Zeller's gonna get a nose job.
I really like this 6'7" Russian 19 year old, very qucik, great shooter and can slash, quick release, tough, projected at 24, Sergey Karasev. I still want Dieng from Louisville, I would trade down and take these 2 players.
Alex Len moved up to 5 after foot surgery with Pelicans.. So that is good for GV, no Trey Burke to Pelicans.
Tony Snell shot up to 19 from late second,, I always like him
Nba lottery bump
Even though the lottery has its own thread.
This thread is better.
Oh awards, so young, so unknowing.
Who gets stuck at #1?
Cleveland, the 3rd worst team of the season, jumps to #1.
Where does Len go?
Surgery has him out 4-6 months. Could be a number of teams in the 8-15 range that bite on him. I bet it ends up being Dallas.
Will Charlotte be dumb enough to take McLemore if they end up with the 1st pick?
Not an option. Frozen out at #4.
Which team will make the biggest mistake of the draft and take Marcus Smart in the top 5?
Smart saves a lot of teams a lot of grief and stays in school.
Does Indiana draft the wrong Plumlee again?
Indiana picks at #23. Mason Plumlee is looking like a mid-1st rounder, but his brother will likely still be available.
