I hope we come to a point in time when Kuz and Forsberg are playing in DC with OV and Backstrom still in their primes. We have no idea what OV will look like at 29, which sucks. Kuz could end up being his replacement instead of be able to be a weapon alongside him.
2/7 and 3/19 for @ovi8 vs @malkin71_ at @CONSOLEnergyCtr #pens #caps #RussianRivalry
Two of three vs. Philly on the road. Two of three vs. Pittsburgh on the road.
From the STH conference call with GMGM this afternoon:
--Opening on the road, with 3 home games the following week, 1/22 against Winnipeg was confirmed by WPG press on twitter.
--We have 3 @ Winnipeg this year, including a back-to-back there in March, so we only have 2 trips there this season instead of 3.
How can you ever lose when you have this monster?
Based on the leaks so far, there is literally nothing favorable about the schedule.
Yea seems like it
I totally forgot we extended Green 3 years 18.25M last year. Why the hell did we do that.
Caps set to sign Eric Fehr for $600K http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capitals-insider/wp/2013/01/12/capitals-set-to-sign-eric-fehr/
I've always liked him. Hope he can stay healthy.
Decent low-risk signing, but we now effectively have three third-line RWs and not a single second-line one.
Lock for 10 goals/35 points in 48 games. Maybe more.
Lock to only play in 24 games.
Yea the signing is fine but it sure looks like we're going to struggle to score this year.

Sucks getting Pens, Flyers and Rags 2 on the road 1 at home. Like ending the season with three at home though.
Look at their April schedule. That is absurd.
Pens home game is SB Sunday, off both days Terps play Duke.
Injured Brooks Laich likely to miss 1st week or two for WSH so Wojtek Wolski or Eric Fehr could fill in on 2nd line LW with Ribeiro-Brouwer.
been out of the country...did not realize Fehr was back...
Never been a fan.
Jackie Robinson isn't dirty. This isn't Pack Pride.
He agreed to a deal yesterday. It's potentially a scoring line winger with some size, for pennies. No risk.
just did our season ticket ticket draft....can.not.wait.
Went to Kettler for about an hour this morning, very crowded. Lots of coaching going in a practice that had a lot of stops and starts. Top line was Ovie/Backs/MoJo, and Backstrom didn't look like he had any problems at all. Green looks like Grizzly Adams with long hair and beard. Holtby looked pretty sharp. Lots of work on offensive zone setup both even strength an PP.
Who is our 3rd goalie going to be this year? I think holtby is number one unless he proves otherwise, and then neuvy with the normal start every few games or so.
I'm just wondering because with the jam packed season, a goalie straining a groin and being out 2 weeks becomes a huge deal.
I think it's kind of unrespectful- Ovie
Grubauer I'd assume, though maybe Sabourin sneaks in and gets a start.
