No great shock, but still a disappointment. Ovi a no show for the optional skate this morning. Not even sure why it's optional with all the time off they've had.

For some reason the fact that he always skips optional skates, even before important games just tilts me. Even if you're nursing an injury, it's an optional skate, show up and glide around with your teammates or slap a few half ass shots...just fucking show up, you're the god damn captain.

The Bruins are a really physical team. If we are going to play one of our turd d-men as the 6th, might as well be Erskine if he is healthy. Schultz is not only slow (will be brutal against their young line), but plays with no grit at all.
*and please don't give me the "he has playoff experience" line.

LOL @ us. Orlov is a much better matchup against the B's. For the life of me I'll never understand why McPhee resigned Schultz.

To offset Mr. October Mike Green. Hopefully Green can get out of his playoff funk.
I think Orlov made a couple bad plays in the last few games, but I'd still go with him over Schultz.

so you let orlov play the last couple weeks only to take him out for candy ass schultz. at least orlov knows how to check and has a decent shot. schultz is a slow, lumbering, poor stick handling defenseman who does not use his size. god WHY IS HE ON THIS TEAM

Gotta get to Thomas early tonight, take the Pressure off early... I seemed at ease with Varly a few years ago when we used him based on his mental state. I get the feeling holtby is more emotional and will play differently based on the score
