Brouwer robbed Hendricks of a highlight reel series: Destroys the Ranger on the check, tracks down the puck and feeds a pass for a slam dunk. If Brouwer converts, that sh!t is just a demoralizing string of events.

I've not seen many Caps games on the west coast. But, last night, the crowd seemed so loud. It's almost like a soccer atmosphere with the chants. What is some of the stuff they're saying? One chant was during a song - sounds like they're saying something ending with "Rangers suck!". The other was when they hit the 8 min mark, I know they count down seconds but then what do they say?

There were some Rangers suck chants. There weren't many NYR fans and when any of them tried to get a Let's Go Rangers chant going there was an immediate Rangers suck reply.

Counting down to 8:00 in each period the fans were chanting Ovi's name. It started in Ottawa where their fans counted down to 11:00 and chanted Alfie for Alfredsson. NYR fans made their own version at the 8:00 mark to chant Ovi sucks at the games in NY.

BTW, Beags totally screwed up on the GW goal. Gaborik was his man but he didn't stop in the slot with him, instead going towards the corner and then couldn't get back in time when the puck came behind the net.

Yep, there you have it. Also, on that bang bang play, Brouwer, Beags, and Carlson got their signals horribly messed up, w/Carlson also leaving Richards all alone behind the goal line with the net between him and Richards as Carlson was on the wrong side of the ice, a big, big F up.

Fatigue was a factor as well. When your legs are getting tired it's easier on them to glide than do a hockey stop, and Carlson & Beags both should have stopped gliding as much and picked up their checks around the net when the puck went towards the corner where Alzner was already heading towards a 1-1 w/a Rangers player. At that point, Carlson gets to Holtby's right post to check on Richards, Beags is on Gaborik, and then when it's all sorted out nice and clean Brouwer can get back towards the left point man, who was also left all alone due to the major miscommunication by the Caps. Guys have to keep their heads on a swivel and talk to each other out there.

BTW, also have to give credit to Gaborik for cleverly laying back just enough to get himself some operating room.

What did you want either fanbase to do, a poetry slam? If you're trying to get 18,000 people to chant something brand new and do it all together, three or four words is all you have.

Does anyone know of any bars running specials before the game tomorrow?

Prices for uppers on SH are starting to drop fast. Hoping there's another ticket drop at 4:30 or so today, I'd like to go tomorrow.

Yea I picked up a pair for $70 at like 5pm on Weds, they usually will go even lower than that but I assume with it being playoffs there's a floor.
