I'm hardly expecting us in the tournament, but we've easily got as good a shot as Miami or VaTech.

From last night:
-Miami barely survives at home against Clemson, treading water for now

-Cincy with a huge win @UConn, 10-1 in last 11 looking like a strong bet to ultimately land a bid

-Wisky by 20 at home over NW. NWs RPI is 29 and SOS is 7 but at 12-6 2-4 in the B10 they are still going to have to scrap find 6 more wins. 18-12 6-10 would still likely get them in imo.

-Iowa St and Kansas St with home wins over Okie St and Texas respectively. Iowa State and UT are both probably right on the edge of being those last couple in or out right now. Oklahoma is a bit behind them but still in position to move up.

-Ole Miss beats Miss St and the SEC remains a mess. No idea who gets in after UK, Vandy and Bama. Id expect UF to play well and make it but Miss St, Ole Miss, LSU, Arky is pretty jumbled. Right now Id say just one of those teams makes it.

-In the A-10 Temple beats a solid LaSalle squad, and Duquesne beats a UMass team that was a fringe bubble team. The big result was Xavier over St Joes. At 12-7 St. Joes needs a really strong finish to have a chance.

-We welcome UCF to the Bubble Watch with a controversial home win over Memphis. They have a poor SOS and a bad loss to the Rajin Cajuns but that UConn win could be huge if they finish with a real strong conference record. Marshall gets blown out at home by WVU, obviously not a bad loss but a win would have been huge.

-We sadly say goodbye to the Panthers of Northern Iowa following a home loss to Wichita. Not a bad loss of course but 3-5 in the MVC just isn't going to cut it despite the high RPI and SOS. UNI is a perfect example of manipulating the schedule to inflate their SOS as they played only one team ranked 200+. Also in the MVC Creighton moves closer to lock status escaping Missouri State with a 1 point win.

-New Mexico missed a big opportunity last night losing at home to SDSU. They still have to play the Aztecs on the road plus two each against Colorado St and UNLV. They need at least 2 wins in that group to have a chance.

67 with 4 top 50 wins, three of which came on the road. Ill update the op after todays game but things are looking completely crazy right now. Big10 is practically a lock for 8 and Northwestern could get in with practically a .500 record. Big East and A-10 are completely jumbled too.

First edition of Bubble Watch is out. We aren't listed of course but are mentioned in Miamis writeup:
"It's go time in LeBron Land, starting with the Terps, who are almost 50 spots behind the U in the RPI but could easily replace them in this space next week with a victory in Coral Gables."

We should definitely do an IMS bracketology and do better than Lunardi. We need Spike though.

They've beaten who they have to beat to get a decent record. But they only have 1 top 50 win (Miami). They also benefit from an easy ACC schedule.

They also have 2 losses to teams outside the RPI top 100 in Stanford and G-Tech. That's 2 more than the Terps have.

I am a sucker for blind optimism and hope, what if we win out? 9-7, wins over @UNC, VA, Notre Dame. What would it take in the ACC tournament?

Just tell me there's hope.
