Yes we need 6 wins. If we go 4-2 in our last 6 ACC games that would make us 22-9. Then go 2-1 in the ACC tourney to get to 24-10. Where do you get 24-7?

I'm saying we need 6 wins between now and selection Sunday. We have 6 regular season games plus the ACC tourney. We win 6 games between now and then, we are a lock. Any less and we could be in trouble.

Agreed, I think with a young team (especially going from a raucous to no atmosphere) there is very little correlation in game to game performance. There's very little chance we come close to matching our performance from Saturday...though on the other side, we almost have to cut out some of the logic-defying turnovers we made.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?

You honestly think going 5-1(loss@UVA), finishing at 23-8, then losing to UNC/NCST in our first game keeps us out?

6 more wins makes us a lock. 5 and then losing in the first round puts us on the bubble. I didn't say out. 24 wins on selection Sunday, and we have nothing to worry about.
Also 5-1 Doesn't necessarily mean we get a top 4 acct seed. if we go 11-7 with the loss being at UVA we may end up being the 5th seed ( tied with UNC at 11-7 and losing the tie breaker because UNC beat UVA) that would mean a first round game vs the number 12 seed in the first round which we probably couldn't afford to lose.

Beating Duke means we have a head to head tiebreaker at this point if we split with either of them.

I think we may lose one of @GT/@Wake and also UVA. BC game worries me a lot as they are playing pretty well and we didn't have the easiest time with them at Comcast. I think a 4-2 finish puts us in with most scenarios.

You're failing to account for the crappy bubble. There's no way you guys wouldn't get in in a couple of your "bubble" scenarios.
Your resume would still be better than most other teams out there.

In most "expert" (yes, I use that term loosely) brackets today we're in the "First Four Out" group. A 5-1 finish would mean several additional road wins, a win over UNC, or both. That type of finish isn't just bumping us 3 or 4 spots in the overall bracket, hell, it may even put us in an 8/9 game. A 5-1 finish and we're 1000% in, regardless of what happens in Greensboro.

There's no reason to think we'll do better than 4-2. But I think that and anything but a blowout loss in the ACCT probably does it anyway.
