I was there last night and the biggest thing I noticed was our stick skills. Every pass missed the stick, bounced off the stick, or leg or skate. OV had a few opportunities but just couldn't corral the puck. Is this skill or time off? Contrast that with Montreal who had a few one touch pass right on the blade, at least one for a goal.

I have zero hope for that bitch Kuznetsov, especially if he stays at wing. Been there, done that. Forsberg might be legit. Galiev could be top-6 but won't be a game breaker.

While most will list MacKinnon as No. 1, Jones is the type of defenseman that doesn't come around every draft. A difference maker in all zones, the son of former NBA player Popeye Jones is one of the smartest young prospects in the game. With or without the puck, he makes the right decision. There's no real weakness in his game and, with the right team, he could hop into an NHL lineup immediately.

I remember when I'd watch the Bullets as a young lad. Lil' CVD would cozy up to the TV with a bowl of chocolate ice cream (mixed with peanut butter, by hand). I think they were on Channel 20 back then. It'd be some random tilt on a Tuesday night against the Pistons from the Palace. And the Bullets would get absolutely throttled. And I'd sit there and laugh and laugh and laugh.

I'm about to go there with this team.
