I just don't see how you win in today's NFL by trading multiple picks to get a running back. And I love Richardson. He's a stud.

Vikings got the Browns picks in rounds 1, 4, 5, 7. Cleveland gets the No. 3 overall pick.
Seems like an awful lot for Trent Richardson.

I'm still in favor of Trent Richardson, but for some reason I'm feeling the Browns have been had (shocker I know).
I mean, who were we bidding against? Did we really have to give up the fourth round pick?

I was never a fan of his. I'm glad we didn't trade up to get him. Will be a bust IMO.

Bidding against the Bucs. They apparently wanted Richardson. And I guess a team could offer a whole lot to come up farther. After reading the Browns had 13 picks, it makes more sense. There's no way there's that many roster spots available. Better to give up 3 late-round picks than 4 + 22.

Richardson looks like a nice player, but that's a lot to give up to move up one spot. The Vikings must have convinced the Browns that some other team was going to leapfrog them because the Vikes certainly weren't going to grab him.

Wait, the Browns traded up one slot? Can someone explain the logic to me? Were the Vikes even interested in Richardson? All the mocks had them taking Kalil. It seems like them giving up the pick kind of means they weren't necessarily hot on Richardson anyway.

Was someone else trying to get that 3rd who wanted Trent? That amount of picks coupled with it being Minnesota (Have AD want Clairborne or Kalil) makes me think someone else was there

This has happened before. The Cardinals swapped spots with the Jets one year (from 4th overall to 3rd, just like this trade) in order to move up and get Garrison Hearst. The Jets got the Cards' pick and Johnny Johnson.

Tough call, I'd normally say NFL Network but I absolutely despise Mike Lombardi and think he's a complete fraud. Depends on how much he is involved I guess.
No idea what the Browns are thinking. Richardson has the potential to be a top 5 back, but it doesn't even matter. You don't need a top 5 back to win in this league, you just need a decent one and those can be had much later in the draft. And the Browns might actually have 13 roster spots available...
