2012 NFL Draft Thread

One week away! This is a great time of year for those of us who are fans of bad teams.
Here is my mock top 10
1. IND - Luck
2. WAS - Griffin
3. MIN - Kalil
4. CLE - Richardson
5. TB - Claiborne
6. STL - Fletcher Cox
7. JAX - Blackmon
8. MIA - Tannehill
9. CAR - Poe
10. BUF - Floyd
I think #4 and #7 are hotspots for teams to trade up for Tannehill.

Did someone on here post a link to a hilarious mock draft last year or am I mis-remembering. There was a guy who did a mock draft last year with like 5 teams picking Cam Newton.

Not a good time of year for people who don't like Chris Berman.

Screw Berman. I read today that NFL Network has committed to not even showing players there when picks are being made in order to keep the suspense.

Seems like it's pretty clear that 7 of the first 8 or so picks are set, barring a trade, with on Jacksonville being a question mark. Maybe some team trades up to that spot to get Tannehill before Miami does?

Yep. This happens every year. Right about this time, every pundit out there comes to some consensus top 4/5/6 whatever and thinks the top is pretty set and then you get 20 minutes into the draft at it all goes to shit.

I wish more writers wrote pieces like this one, discussing scenarios rather than mock drafts which are so static. It also discusses Cox going to the Rams at 6 which I think it a good possibility as well.

Nope, never been. Something I've wanted to do though, and with some of my friends wanting to go for RGIII, and the Bucs having a top 5 pick, I figured it was a good time to do it. I've heard they've really beefed up the fan experience over the past few years.

I think I also read that ESPN will be following the same protocol as well. I prefer NFLN either way because Mayock > Kiper/McShay and Eisen > Berman.
