It's a Major League spring training place, and because of the elevation, it needs to be bigger, I suppose. But yeah, it's huge.
And I'm sure all the "UNC luz!!!" stuff was fun last weekend, but people need to understand St Johns is good. Struggled early but all Northern teams do. They're talented.

have they said the plan for how long he is pitching today? If it is over in 12, do they let him start game 2, or hold him for tomorrow?

He'll start game 2. Torrential rain in the forecast starting around 1pm, so he'll probably only get 3-4 innings at most in today.

why not just hold him until tomorrow then? If they lost, then go ahead and start him, but they can afford to lose now if they have their ace ready to go for 7 or so innings in game 3.

about to head down to SC, but before I leave, I just want to say that Jackie Robinson Field is a slap in the face to Jackie Robinson. Such a dump. UCLA really should do better.

I saw that happen once in a pro game a few years back. The announcers were incredibly confused, even though the rule seems pretty obvious.

That was absolutely the correct call. once he hits the bag...that finishes the base on balls...when he comes off the bag he can be tagged out
